School Transport Software Connections and Devices
The transport software connects to WhatsApp, SMS, UPI and payment gateways, Tally, Google Maps and GPS tracking devices. Which accounts and devices are used is confirmed with the school during scoping.
What it connects to
What depends on the other system
Messages depend on the WhatsApp or SMS account that the school holds, and online payment depends on the gateway the school chooses and on its account being active. Location depends on a tracking unit with a working SIM. The software cannot send a message or show a position without the other service behind it.
What is confirmed during scoping
- Which channel parents read, WhatsApp or SMS
- Which payment gateway the school already uses
- Which ledger and series the accountant uses in Tally
- How Google Maps is used with routes
- Which tracking units can be connected
What stays outside
Device cost, SIM plans and message charges belong to the school and are billed by their own providers. Fitting a tracking unit is a separate decision. The accounts stay in Tally with the accountant, and transport data stays in the system the school owns.
Frequently asked questions
Can transport fees reach Tally?
Through the accountant, yes. Collections by term, route and payment mode export for Tally, and a direct connection is separate work.
Does the attendant need network for alerts?
Yes. Marking needs a mobile signal, and the alert follows from the mark. Where there is no coverage, marks go in when the signal returns.
Is a GPS device supplied?
No. The school chooses, buys and fits the device and SIM. The software shows the feed from a unit that is connected.
Can parents pay the fee online?
Yes. Parents pay online or by UPI once the payment option is set up, and a receipt goes back to them.
