Customer and Vehicle Records for Tyre Shops
A tyre shop deals with the vehicle as much as the person. This module keeps the registration number, the tyres fitted and every visit together, for individual owners and for fleets.
What is held for each vehicle
Individual owners and fleets
A retail customer is one person with one or two vehicles. A cab operator, a school or a delivery business may have dozens. Fleet accounts group their vehicles under one owner, with a credit limit and a contact for payment, while each vehicle keeps its own tyre history.
Finding a record at the counter
Search by registration number, phone or name. A vehicle that is new to the shop is added in a few seconds. Returning customers are recognised, and the last tyre size is already on screen.
What the client decides
- Whether fleet vehicles are grouped by owner, by depot or by route.
- Which fields are compulsory at the counter, so a walk-in is not held up.
- How an old customer list and vehicle numbers are brought in from a register or spreadsheet.
- Who may edit a vehicle record once it has a billed visit against it.
Frequently asked questions
Can one customer have several vehicles?
Yes. Each vehicle has its own record under the customer, with its own tyre positions and visit history.
Is the vehicle number compulsory?
That is the shop’s choice. Most keep it compulsory for fitting jobs and optional for a counter sale of loose tyres.
Can a fleet see its own records?
Not through a separate portal as standard. The shop can send statements and vehicle-wise lists. A fleet login is a point for scoping.
How are old customer lists brought in?
Names, phones and vehicle numbers are imported from a register or spreadsheet. The counter reviews the list before the shop starts using it.
