Tyre Fitting Job Cards for Tyre Shops
Each fitting visit opens a job card against the vehicle. The card lists the tyres, the services to be done, the technician and the bay, and it becomes the basis of the bill.
What a job card carries
Counter staff open the job when the vehicle arrives. The technician reads it at the bay and closes it when the work is done.
Queue at the counter
Jobs wait in a queue by bay. Staff at the desk can tell a customer where the vehicle stands without walking to the workshop. A job that is held, say for a tyre not yet received, is marked so it does not block the others.
From card to bill
When the technician marks the job done, the services and parts on the card flow into the invoice. Billing staff check them, add anything missed and take payment. Nothing is typed twice.
What the client sets up
- The service list, with the charge for each and whether it is per wheel or per vehicle.
- How many bays the shop has and what each is used for.
- Which services need a reading, such as alignment, so the card prompts for it.
- Whether a technician’s work is counted for any incentive, and how.
Frequently asked questions
Can a job card be opened without a sale?
Yes. A customer who brings their own tyres, or wants only a puncture repaired, gets a job card and a bill for the service alone.
Can a technician use a phone?
Yes. The technician sees the queue for the bay and marks each service done from a phone or a counter screen, depending on what the shop uses.
What if the customer adds work after the card is opened?
The counter adds the service to the open card. The bill follows the final card, so the change is on record.
Does it handle mobile or roadside fitting?
Not as a separate flow. A visiting job can be opened as a card and closed later, but route planning is outside this module.
