Tyre Rotation and Replacement Reminders
Customers rarely remember when tyres were last rotated or aligned. This module works out who is due from the fitting history and sends a message the shop approves.
How a reminder is worked out
Each vehicle has a last fitting date and an odometer reading. The shop sets the gap for rotation, alignment and tyre age. A vehicle that crosses the gap appears on the due list. The list is built from records, not from guesswork.
The kinds of reminder
Sending and following up
Messages go by WhatsApp or SMS, from a template the shop writes. The counter can review the list before anything is sent. Replies and bookings that follow are visible, so the shop sees which reminders brought a vehicle back, though some customers would have come anyway.
What this module does not do
- It does not read the odometer on its own. The reading is whatever staff entered last.
- It does not judge whether a tyre is safe. A technician makes that call at inspection.
- It does not message anyone the owner has not allowed. Opt-outs are respected and listed.
Frequently asked questions
Which channel is used for reminders?
WhatsApp or SMS, as the shop chooses. Both depend on a messaging account and an approved template, which are confirmed during scoping.
Can reminders be paused for a customer?
Yes. A customer can be marked do-not-contact, and the list will leave them out until the mark is removed.
What if no odometer reading was taken?
The reminder falls back to the date alone. A shop that wants kilometre-based reminders needs the counter to record the reading at each visit.
Can the gap differ by vehicle type?
Yes. A car, a two-wheeler and a commercial vehicle can each have their own gap for rotation, alignment and replacement.
