Reports for Wholesalers and Distributors
These reports cover orders, credit holds, pending quantity, schemes, outstanding, quiet dealers and returns. Each one is read from the live order and ledger records.
Orders and money in one place
In many wholesale firms orders live in messages, stock in the godown book and balances in the accounts file. A question about one dealer then needs three sources. Reports draw on the records that the order desk, godown and accounts already update, so dealers, sales officers and owners can be shown the same figures. One record serves them all.
The reports
Who acts on them
- Order desk clerks work from held orders and pending quantity
- Sales officers work from quiet dealers and orders by territory
- Accounts assistants work from outstanding, ageing and credit notes
- Owners read scheme given, held orders and who released them
What the figures reflect
Reports show what has been recorded. Dispatch must be entered, receipts posted and returns raised for a figure to be complete. A report that looks short usually points to an entry not yet made. Extra reports can be added for any field the orders and ledger already hold, and their scope is confirmed when the work begins.
Frequently asked questions
Are the reports live?
Yes. They read the current orders and ledger, so each new entry shows in the figures.
Can I see which orders were released past the limit?
Yes. The held orders report lists each one. It shows who released it, the reason and the time.
Does the ageing match what the dealer reads?
Yes. Outstanding is taken from the same ledger the dealer reads, so both sides see the same bills.
Can a report beyond this list be built?
Where the data is held in the system, yes. The client and our team agree extra reports during scoping.
