Eleven at Night, Shutter Down, He Orders Himself

That is when he remembers what is finished. A login of his own, on his phone, showing his rate and your real stock, is where a B2B ordering system starts.

The voice note and the retyping

Today he speaks it into WhatsApp and somebody in your office types it into the billing screen the next morning. Twelve becomes twenty-one. He swears he said twelve, and he did. Every order typed twice is an argument waiting for a Saturday.

What he sees when he signs in

His rate, not the list rate

The price list his account sits on, with this month’s scheme on top of it. No circular to check, no call to the sales officer.

His own business only

The login is tied to his territory and his ledger. What another dealer pays, and what another dealer owes, is not his to see.

Stock he can actually order

Available quantity by item, with what is committed to other orders taken off. You choose whether he sees the number or only in stock and out of stock.

Last month, again

He opens his order history, picks the one from last month, changes two lines and sends it. For most older dealers that is the whole of the training.

Getting dealers onto it

Half of them will never log in, and a portal that assumes otherwise fails in the third month.

  • It runs beside the old way rather than instead of it
  • The sales officer keys those orders from the same screen
  • A WhatsApp link brings the willing ones across slowly
  • Who actually keyed an order is saved with it
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What about the dealers who refuse to use it?

They carry on ringing and sending voice notes, and your sales officer or order desk keys those in. The order is still written in that dealer’s name at his rate. Nobody is cut off for not owning the habit yet.

Will he manage it on a phone?

It is built for a phone first, because that is where he is sitting at closing time. A laptop shows the same screens with more on each. Repeating last month’s order takes two taps.

Can he see his outstanding as well?

Yes, the same figures your accounts team reads: bills, payments and what is overdue. He downloads his own statement, which is usually the end of the call on the fifth of the month.
