Order History and Repeat Orders for Dealers

Every order is kept with its date and the rates that applied. A dealer or a sales officer can reopen any earlier order, change a few lines and send it as a new one.

A record of past orders

Dealers often order much the same goods each month. The order history keeps each order with its date and rates, so the earlier basket is always at hand. Nothing has to be typed again from a voice note. The dealer opens the history and picks the order to start from.

How a repeat order is made

Open the history

The dealer sees past orders in date order, each with its lines and the rates it carried.

Reopen and edit

Lines can be changed, added or removed before sending. Quantities are reviewed against live stock on the same screen.

Send as a fresh order

The result is a new order. It is checked against the credit limit like any other, and today’s price list and scheme apply.

The earlier order stays

The original is not overwritten. Both orders remain in the history, with their own dates.

Who uses it

  • Dealers and retailers repeating a previous month’s order from a phone
  • Sales officers resending an order for a dealer on their route
  • Order desk clerks checking what a dealer ordered last time
  • Owners reading orders by dealer, territory and day

What stays with the client

The history keeps what was ordered. It does not suggest what a dealer should buy. Rate and scheme changes between two orders are shown on the new order, and how long history stays online is fixed with the firm at set-up.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does a repeat order use the old rates?

No. It is a fresh order, so the price list and scheme in force on the day apply. The old order keeps the rates it carried.

Can a sales officer repeat an order for a dealer?

Yes. The officer opens the dealer’s history and sends the order in the dealer’s name. The note of who keyed it is saved.

Will older dealers manage it?

Repeating a previous order takes a few taps, and for many dealers that is where they start. The sales officer can still key orders for those who prefer not to log in.

Are returns and part dispatches visible in the history?

Yes. The order shows what was dispatched and what is still pending, and returns are raised against the invoice.
