Software Solutions for Protein Supplement Brands

Protein powders are heavy, sold in many flavours and sizes, and widely copied. Buyers worry about fakes, and brands lose control when authorised and unauthorised sellers sit side by side. A seller online needs a way for buyers to verify a pack, records of who may resell, and batches traced to the order.

At a glance

Give buyers a code to check, and trace every batch to its seller.

A buyer who suspects a fake does not blame the counterfeiter. They blame the brand whose name is on the tub.

Businesses and operating models

Protein brands selling direct and through resellers

A brand sells through a web store of its own, distributors and marketplace sellers, and wants to control who sells.

Distributors holding brand authorisation

A distributor buys from the brand, supplies shops and online sellers and must show that its stock is genuine.

How an order moves

The workflow for protein supplements.

  1. 1

    Batch made and coded

Each batch is recorded with its dates, and codes are issued for its tubs.

  2. 2

    Stock allotted to sellers

Batches or code ranges are allotted to distributors, and the allotment is recorded.

  3. 3

    Buyer checks a code

A buyer scans or types a code and sees whether it was issued and for what.

  4. 4

    Orders picked by batch

Direct orders are allocated by batch with an acceptable remaining life.

  5. 5

    Suspect pack handled

A report is logged with the code, batch and allotment, and a case opens.

Where it breaks

The challenges, and what they cost.

Fakes reach buyers

Copied tubs carry the brand’s label, and nothing lets a buyer tell the difference.

Resellers sell outside terms

A distributor ships to a marketplace seller the brand never authorised.

Recalls are slow

When a batch has a problem, nobody can list quickly who received it.

Requirements to assess

What is specific to this trade.

These are requirements we would confirm in discovery. They describe what the solution may need to handle. They are not features that already exist.

  • A unique code per pack or batch, checkable by the buyer
  • A record of which seller holds which batch
  • A batch-to-order trace that supports a recall
  • Heavy-parcel rules by tub size

Integrations

What it would connect to.

An integration is confirmed only after its API, access and scope are checked. A connection that updates on a schedule is described as scheduled, not real-time.

  • A label printer’s workflow for code files
  • Payment checkout through a gateway account in your name
  • Distributor ordering, such as GullySystem’s dealer-ordering product, where it is in use
Implementation

How the work runs, and what we need from you.

What you provide

  • Your batch and labelling process
  • Your distributors and where each may sell
  • How buyers report suspect packs today

Define the code scheme

We agree how codes are formed and printed with your label supplier before anything is generated.

A single batch is coded, allotted and sold to test the trace before the rest.

What you receive.

  • A code generator and check page
  • A reseller register
  • A batch trace and recall list

How progress is judged.

Measures are agreed against your own baseline. We do not promise a result in advance.

  • Codes checked from unexpected regions
  • Batches with a complete allotment record
India and international

Selling at home and abroad.

Import rules and permitted labelling for supplements vary by country, and certain markets inspect imported packs. Your adviser and distributor confirm the position before a market opens.

Suitable software

Protein Supplement E-commerce & Authenticity Software

Custom software solution

No existing GullySystem product issues pack codes, verifies them for buyers or tracks authorised resellers. The system would be written for the brand, and none of it is available until it has been designed and accepted.

Common questions

Questions about protein supplements e-commerce.

Can a buyer check a tub from a marketplace?

Yes, if the pack carries your code. The check shows whether the code was issued, not whether the seller was authorised, unless the batch was allotted to that seller.

Does it remove unauthorised listings?

No. It records authorised sellers and flags unusual checks. Removing a listing is done with the marketplace by you.

Can distributors place their own orders?

Yes, through trade accounts showing their agreed rates, tied to the same batch records.
