Join Salesforce leads, accounts and opportunities to billing, delivery and finance records.

Salesforce holds the pipeline. Invoices and projects live elsewhere. GullySystem joins your Salesforce org and your business software, covering leads, accounts, opportunities and custom objects. Direction, volumes and field rules are scoped per project and depend on your edition, permissions and how the org is configured.

At a glance

Connecting Salesforce to the rest of your business.

Sales teams close an opportunity in Salesforce. That is the easy part. Then the order has to be raised, a project opened and an invoice issued, usually by someone retyping the account details into other systems.

The link makes handover happen from the record itself. Every org carries its own objects, record types and validation rules, so the design starts from yours rather than from a template.

What moves

What flows between Salesforce and your system.

Each flow is agreed one at a time: which record, in which direction, and what happens when it fails.

Won opportunities into orders

When an opportunity reaches Closed Won, its account, products and agreed amount create a sales order or project in your system, with the billing contact copied over. The order reference returns to the opportunity. Sales sees what happened next.

Accounts and contacts in step

Account and contact changes in either system are matched on keys we define, such as a registered company number or a billing email. Duplicates are caught before they create a second customer in billing.

Invoice and payment status on the account

Invoices raised and payments received in your finance records are written to custom objects or fields in Salesforce, including invoice number, due date and balance. Account owners see overdue balances before a renewal call, without asking finance for a statement.

Leads from forms and campaigns

Enquiries captured on your site, in a form tool or at an event are created as leads with their source and campaign. Reports then show where each opportunity first came from. Conversion to an account and opportunity follows the rules your team uses. No orphan leads.

Large loads through the Bulk API

Initial migrations and overnight batches of records can go through the Bulk API, which suits large volumes of leads or invoice lines. Urgent changes use the standard API.

How it is built

From scoping to hand-over.

1. Choose objects and field owners

Leads, accounts, opportunities and any custom objects are listed first. Then each field is given one owning system and a direction. Nothing is assumed.

2. Connect and test in a sandbox org

Salesforce sandboxes let us build against a copy of your configuration. We test conversions, stage changes, validation rules and failed saves before production. Production stays untouched.

3. Map objects, fields and record owners

Both sides carry a mapping for every picklist, record type and required field. Duplicate rules are respected. Records that Salesforce rejects are held in a queue with the stated reason, so that someone can correct the data and release them.

4. Review sandbox results, then go live

A scheduled job sets record counts and totals for every object beside the finance system’s figures. We hand over the exception queue and the field map, plus a plan for the day an administrator adds a field, a record type or a validation rule. Admins keep control.

Common questions

Questions about connecting Salesforce.

Does data travel in both directions with Salesforce?

Usually two way, split by object. Salesforce commonly owns leads and opportunities, while your finance system owns invoices. Each field has one owner to avoid overwrites, and the list of owners is written down before the build begins.

Which Salesforce edition do I need?

API access depends on your edition and licence terms. We confirm what your org allows during scoping, as that decides which objects and methods we can use. Some orgs also limit which integration users may be created.

Can historic records be migrated?

Yes, in many cases, using bulk loading with checks on counts and relationships between accounts, contacts and opportunities. We test history in a sandbox first.

What if Salesforce changes its API or our org changes?

Salesforce retires old API versions on a published schedule. New fields, flows and validation rules added in your own org can also affect the connection, so we review both kinds of change under a separate support arrangement.
