Deliveries Planned Before the Tempo Leaves
A wardrobe goes out with two men, a tempo and a fitting job at the other end. That is a plan, not a WhatsApp message to the driver at ten at night.
The counter had no answer
A customer rings on Thursday to ask when her sofa is coming. The delivery list lives on the supervisor’s phone, and he is on a lorry somewhere near Hosur, so she is told somebody will call back. Nobody does, and she rings again on Friday, less politely.
How a delivery is planned
A date, a vehicle and a crew
Orders ready for dispatch are put on a day and a vehicle, with the helpers who are going. The load for tomorrow can be read the evening before.
Fitting marked where it is needed
A modular wardrobe needs a carpenter, a mattress does not. Jobs that need fitting are flagged so the right person goes with the tempo.
What the driver is carrying
Each trip lists its orders, addresses and phone numbers. The delivery note is printed from the order, with the items on it.
Balance collected at the door
Where your rule is payment on delivery, the amount due goes on the trip list. What was collected is entered against the order the same day.
Rescheduled, with the reason
The lift is not working, so Thursday becomes Saturday. The change is recorded with the reason, and the new date is on the counter’s screen.
After the tempo comes back
- Deliveries done, pending and rescheduled this week
- Orders delivered but with a balance still open
- Fittings that could not be finished on the first visit
- Customers told their delivery date by WhatsApp or SMS
Frequently asked questions
Can the customer be told the delivery date automatically?
A message can be prepared with the date and sent on WhatsApp or SMS from the order. Somebody on your side still presses send, which most showrooms prefer because the call often needs a human anyway.
Does it track the tempo on a map?
No. There is no live vehicle tracking in this product. Trips, crews and delivery status are recorded by your own people, which is usually enough to answer a customer.
Can we plan deliveries for two showrooms together?
Yes. Trips can be planned per showroom or across branches where the same vehicle serves both, and each order stays attached to the branch that sold it.
