One Catalogue for the Floor and the Office

A showroom holds maybe eighty models on the floor and four hundred in the book. The salesperson needs the same list the office prices from, with photographs on it.

Three prices for the same sofa

One salesperson quotes from last season’s printed list. Another remembers what the owner said in June, and a third gives a discount to close the sale. In one week the same three-seater leaves the showroom at three different prices, and the margin goes with it.

What the catalogue carries

Photos the customer can see

Each model with its pictures, so a piece not on the floor can still be shown on a tablet while the customer is standing there. The book stays in the drawer.

Sizes and dimensions

Length, width, height and seating, because a small living room is the reason half these conversations start.

Fabric and finish options

The fabric codes and finishes each model can be made in, priced where they change the price. The customer chooses from a list, not from memory.

Price lists and festive offers

A price list with the date it applies from, and an offer that runs for a season. Old bills keep the price they were raised at.

Discount limits by staff level

A junior salesperson gives one figure, the manager another. Beyond that, an approval is needed and is recorded. Nobody argues about it in June.

Loaded before anybody quotes

Your catalogue goes in first, in your own words and codes, so the first quotation is built from it rather than from a Word file.

  • Models grouped the way your floor is laid out
  • Categories such as sofas, beds, mattresses, dining and wardrobes
  • The same models and the same prices across every showroom you run
  • Discontinued models kept for old orders and complaints
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How many models can it hold?

As many as you sell, including ones you show only from the book. Photos, sizes and options are per model, and a model can be marked as not currently stocked.

Who can change a price?

Only the people you allow, and every change is logged with a name and a time. Salespeople normally get the price list and a discount limit, not the right to edit prices.

Does the catalogue become a website for customers?

No. This catalogue is for your staff and your quotations. A public website or online store is a separate piece of work, quoted separately rather than half-done.
