Cleaner Attendance and Hours for Payroll
Attendance for payroll records the hours each cleaner works and the jobs each one completes. These figures are ready for salary and bonus calculations, which the company runs in its own process.
Where the figures come from
Cleaners clock in, clock out and record breaks from their phones. Where a crew shares one phone, the supervisor marks the crew in for the site. Jobs completed are marked from site as well. That is quick. Hours and jobs are therefore read from the schedule. They are not pieced together once the month is over from memory, from a diary or from a pile of sheets that the supervisor has kept.
What is recorded for each cleaner
Using the figures for salary and bonus
Salary and bonus rules belong to the company. Hours worked and jobs completed are the inputs, and the accounts team works from them when it prepares each month’s salary and any bonus linked to jobs done. A bonus linked to jobs done can use the same count. How the figures are handed across, in a report or an export, is agreed during implementation.
What it leaves to payroll software
This is a record of attendance and work. It is not a payroll system. It does not calculate deductions or statutory contributions. A large facility firm with hundreds of staff will need an HR and payroll system alongside it.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work out salaries?
No. It records hours worked and jobs completed per cleaner. The accounts team calculates salary and bonus from those figures.
Can cleaners mark attendance from their phones?
Yes. Cleaners clock in and out and record breaks from a phone, and supervisors see who has started.
What if a crew has only one phone?
The supervisor can mark the crew in for the site. Individual clock-ins need individual phones. Teams decide which pattern suits them.
Can we see jobs completed for each cleaner?
Yes. The attendance and jobs completed report is read by cleaner and by period.
