Dine-In Table Orders for Restaurants
This module holds the floor plan and the order that sits on each table, from seating to the call for the bill. Captains and the cashier work from it.
The floor on one screen
Tables are laid out by floor, hall or garden, with the numbers your staff already call out.
How an order grows through a meal
A table rarely orders once. Starters go first, then breads and main course, then a sweet, and each round is punched onto the same table order. The kitchen receives each round as its own ticket with a serial, so a station knows what is new. An item punched by mistake can be cancelled before it is cooked, and after that it needs a manager to approve the cancellation.
Things that happen on a busy floor
What the restaurant decides
- Whether captains punch on a phone, a tablet or a counter screen
- Who may cancel a punched item and who approves it after cooking
- Whether covers must be entered before an order can be punched
- How service charge is treated on a dine-in bill
- Which staff may send a complimentary dish
Frequently asked questions
Can a captain take orders on a phone?
Yes. The same table list and menu open on a tablet or phone on the floor, and the punched order reaches the kitchen directly.
What happens if the phone has no network?
Punching needs the connection. A counter screen on the shop network is kept as the fallback, and the wiring is checked during scoping.
Can one table be billed as two?
Yes. The items are divided between bills and each bill settles on its own payment mode.
Is the waiting list part of this module?
No. Bookings and the waiting list sit in their own module, which hands the guest to a table once one is free.
