Counter and Parcel Orders for Restaurants
Darshinis, cafes and parcel counters bill before the food is served, so the order and the payment happen in one step. This module holds that flow.
How a counter order runs
The customer orders and pays at the counter, and a token carries the order to the kitchen.
Parcel orders over the counter and on the phone
A parcel order carries a little more than a dine-in line. Packing material is counted against it, a packing charge can be added, and the customer’s name and number are saved so the counter can call when it is ready. Orders taken on the phone or on WhatsApp are entered with a pickup time, and they appear on the kitchen screen only when that time is near. Own-delivery orders record the boy who took them out.
Who works on this screen
What the client sets up
- Whether tokens restart each shift or run through the day
- Whether payment must be taken before the ticket is sent
- The packing charge, if any, and which items carry it
- Who may cancel a paid token and how a refund is recorded
- Whether your own delivery boys are tracked by name
Frequently asked questions
Can the counter bill without a table?
Yes. A counter order needs only a token, so no table is opened and nothing is left to close on the floor.
How is a phone parcel order handled?
The counter enters it with a name, number and pickup time, and it reaches the kitchen as that time approaches.
Does a customer display show the token?
Only where a display is installed. The counter screen always lists the tokens waiting to be collected.
Can a paid token be refunded?
Yes, with a reason and the staff name on the record. How refunds are approved is your rule.
