Clothing Store Stock by Size and Colour
A style is not one item. It arrives in a run of sizes and a set of colours, and each of those combinations is counted and tracked on its own.
What a style record holds
Reading the grid at the counter
The counter opens a style and sees sizes across and colours down, with the piece count in each box. A customer asking for a 38 in navy gets an answer from the screen before anyone walks to the rack. Empty boxes show plainly. The owner reads the same grid from a phone.
Where the counts change
What this module does not do
- It does not decide your size ranges or your colour names
- It does not price a style or set a markdown by itself
- It does not read a supplier catalogue without a set up step
- It will not correct a count nobody has physically verified
Frequently asked questions
Can we use our own size names?
Yes. Numbered waists, letter sizes and kids age bands all work, and a style can use whichever run suits it.
What if a tag is missing from a piece?
The counter searches the style and picks size and colour by hand. A reprinted tag keeps the next sale clean.
Does the godown count separately from the floor?
Yes, where you want it that way. Floor pieces and reserve pieces can be held as two locations under one style.
How do size gaps get noticed?
A size and colour below its reorder level lists on the buyer screen, with the last date a piece of it sold.
