Maturity and Survival Benefit Dates for Life Insurance Advisors

Money-back instalments, survival benefits and maturity dates fall years after a sale. This module records each date against its policy so that the client and the paperwork are ready beforehand.

Dates and papers recorded

Survival benefits

Each instalment of a money-back or similar plan is noted with its due date and the share of the sum assured the policy states.

Maturity date

The final date of the policy and the amount expected are recorded from the policy document. Any bonus the insurer has declared is noted beside it.

Papers needed

The discharge form, identity proof and bank details the insurer asks for are listed, with a tick for each one collected.

Payout details

The client’s bank account or cheque preference is noted, and the date the money arrived is recorded once the client confirms.

Who uses it

Advisors see the benefits due for their own clients in the coming months. The desk starts the paperwork ahead of each date. The owner sees the full book of benefits due, which matters most when an advisor has left and clients still need a call. Dates belong to the agency.

Where it leads next

A benefit date creates a task on the desk list some weeks ahead. If the insurer raises a query once papers are with it, the item moves to the claims record. A matured policy is closed in the register.

What the agency sets up

  • How far ahead of a benefit date the first task appears
  • The paper checklist for each insurer you work with
  • Message wording for benefit and maturity reminders
  • Who contacts the client and who files the papers

What this module does not do

It does not work out bonus or maturity value. It pays nothing to the client. Amounts are entered from the insurer’s papers, and advice on how a client should use the proceeds is outside the software, for the advisor and the client to discuss.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can money-back plans with several instalments be recorded?

Yes. Each instalment is stored with its own date, so a plan with four or five payouts shows every one.

Will the desk be reminded to collect papers?

Yes. A task is created ahead of each date, with the paper checklist attached. Nothing is left for the last week.

Is the amount calculated by the system?

No. The desk types the amount from the policy schedule or the insurer’s letter, and a later difference is noted.

What happens if the advisor who sold the policy has left?

The client stays on the record and the owner reassigns the benefit task, so the date is not lost with the person.
