Manjula leaves the office at nine with forty houses on her list. What she collects is entered at the door, rather than written in a notebook and typed into a sheet on Saturday afternoon.
On the phone, in the street
The collection screens run in the phone’s browser. There is nothing to install, no store update to chase, and an old handset is enough. A collector signs in and sees their own route or their own groups. Other people’s borrowers are simply not there.
What the route screen shows
Who is due today
Borrower, instalment, amount, and how far behind the account has slipped. The address and phone number sit on the same card, so a call before walking over is one tap.
The receipt at the door
Amount taken, mode, and the collector’s name, stamped with the time. The office sees that receipt the same day instead of at the weekend settlement.
Nobody at home
A visit can be closed with what actually happened: door locked, promised for the fifteenth, refused to pay. The note stays on the loan for whoever goes next week.
Evening handover
Cash collected per collector, listed against the receipts behind it. If the bag is short, the gap has a name, a route and a date attached to it, which is the whole point.

Frequently asked questions
Is there an app to install from the Play Store?
No, and that is deliberate. The collector opens it in the phone browser and signs in, so a cheap Android handset works and nobody is stranded on last year’s version.
What happens in villages with poor network?
An entry needs a connection to save, so this is worth saying plainly. Collectors working thin coverage usually record receipts when they reach a signal or when they return to the centre, and the entry carries the time it was actually made.
Can a collector quietly change a receipt later?
Not if you don’t give them that right. Recovery staff normally get entry rights alone, and an office user makes any correction, with the old and new amounts both kept in the log.
