NGO Software Connections to WhatsApp, UPI and Tally
A trust office already works with a few outside tools. These are the connections that come up most often, and what each one actually depends on.
Reaching donors and volunteers
Taking money in
Accounts and devices
What each connection depends on
Every one of these sits on somebody else’s system, and that is where the limits come from. A messaging provider approves templates and charges per message. A gateway sets its own charges and settlement cycle, which the trust agrees with the provider directly. A device maker may or may not allow its records to be read. Each connection is confirmed while the work is being scoped, and the ones that need extra work are quoted then.

Frequently asked questions
Will donors get a receipt on WhatsApp automatically?
Yes, once templates are approved and the number is live. Whether it goes out on entry or on request is a setting.
Does an online donation become a receipt by itself?
It can. Most trusts prefer the office to check the purpose and the fund head first, then issue the numbered receipt.
Is the Tally link ready to use?
No. An export is built once your accountant explains the ledgers, and it is sized and quoted as its own item.
Can an existing biometric reader at a centre be used?
Perhaps. It depends on the make and whether its records can be read. That is established by looking at the device during implementation.
What if we change our payment gateway later?
The donation entries stay as they are. Pointing the system at a new gateway is a change GullySystem carries out for you.
