Stainless jobs with grade, heat, weld finish, polish hours and certificate packs.

Stainless enquiries, quotations with finish and polish hours, sheet and tube by grade and heat, cutting, rolling, TIG welding, polishing, pickling, test records and certificate packs live in one system. Each tank, table or hood carries the grade it was made from and the finish it was promised. The buyer receives a pack of papers, not a promise.

  • Grade names, finish names and polish hour rates entered the way you quote them
  • Open jobs, sheet racks and customer list migrated from your registers
  • Pack contents agreed with each buyer’s quality team

Stainless steel fabricators keep enquiries, finish-based quotations, grade and heat records, welding and polishing stages, pickling and certificate packs in Stainless Steel Fabricator Management Software, which GullySystem configures for the shop. Each part keeps the grade, the heat and the finish asked for. Mill certificates and test records gather into one pack per job.

Where it breaks today

What goes wrong before the software.

Two grades share a rack

Plates of 304 and 316 lean on one rack, and a cut piece loses its chalk tag. The mix up is easy to make. A weld on the wrong grade is found at the buyer’s audit.

Certificates float free of parts

Buyers ask for the mill certificate of the heat, yet the fabricator cannot say which tank wall was cut from that sheet. The question has no answer.

Polishing is quoted by guess

Mirror, number four and bead blast finishes take very different hours, so the estimator picks a figure and the polisher pays for it. Quotes drift from the true hours.

Chemical treatment leaves no trail

Parts go out for pickling and come back, but nobody notes the acid bath, the date or who checked the surface for free iron afterwards. The record stays blank.

Weld seams are inspected by eye only

A hygienic dairy joint should be smooth and free of crevices. The visual check happens, but no record says who made it or when. Proof is missing.

Site sections do not come with a plan

A long tank or conveyor is built in sections, and at site no one knows which flange joins which until the crates are opened. Fitters wait and sort while the crane hire runs.

How it runs

How the work flows through it, step by step.

  1. 1

    Enquiry and measure

A drawing or a site measure arrives from a kitchen planner, a dairy or a process plant, and the grade, the finish and any hygiene need are noted. Nothing is cut yet.

  2. 2

    Quotation

Sheet area, tube length, weld count and polish hours are priced for the grade asked, and revisions and the finish description stay with the quote.

  3. 3

    Material and heat

Sheet, tube and fittings are booked in with their mill certificates, and cut parts are marked with grade and heat from the stock used. Offcuts keep their marks.

  4. 4

    Forming and welding

Parts are cut, rolled and formed, then TIG welded, away from carbon steel tools. Each stage records the welder, the date and the machine.

  5. 5

    Finishing and treatment

Welds are ground and polished to the stated finish, and parts go for pickling or passivation when asked. They return with the bath and the date noted.

  6. 6

    Dispatch and billing

The certificate pack is put together, protective film goes over the polished faces, sections are listed and loaded, and then the invoice is raised.

Modules

What is inside.

Every module can be switched on, left out or changed to match how your team already works.

Enquiries and site measures

Log each enquiry with the drawing, the site dimensions, the grade and the finish. Past jobs for the same buyer appear beside it.

Finish based quotations

Price by sheet area, tube metres, weld count and polish hours, using rates for each grade and finish, and keep every revision for the buyer.

Sheet, tube and fitting stock

Hold stock by grade, thickness, size and heat, with racks kept apart from carbon steel and reorder levels on the common sheet gauges.

Heat marking of cut parts

Record which heat each cut part came from, so a table top, a tank wall or a hood panel traces back to its mill certificate.

Job stages and finish cards

Move jobs through cutting, rolling, welding, grinding, polishing and cleaning, with the finish for each face printed on the card.

Pickling and passivation log

Track parts sent for chemical treatment, the bath, the date and the return, with the surface check noted by your staff.

Weld and vessel test records

Note seam inspections, surface roughness readings and water or air tests against the vessel, tank or table they belong to.

Certificate pack

Gather mill certificates, weld records and test results held on the job into a single pack for the buyer’s file.

Section plans and site fit up

List the sections of a long tank or conveyor, mark them for transport, and record site fit up and snags afterwards.

Invoices and receipts

Raise tax invoices on deposit, delivery and commissioning, post receipts, and see which customers owe money.

Solutions inside

The business modules it is built from.

Each one is also available on its own, or inside a system built for you.

  • Estimate/Quotation Management

Quotes are priced from sheet area, weld count and polish hours at the rate for the grade, and every revision is kept for the buyer.

  • Stock Tracking and Alerts

Sheet and tube are counted by grade, thickness and size, with reorder levels set for the gauges that run out first.

  • Batch and Serial Tracking

A heat number follows each cut part, so a tank wall opens the mill certificate of the sheet it was cut from.

  • Work Order Management

Each job moves through cutting, welding, grinding and polishing with the finish for each face printed on its card.

  • Job Work Management

Parts sent out for chemical treatment are tracked with date, vendor and process, then booked back after the surface check.

  • Quality Control

Seam inspections, roughness readings and water tests are recorded against the vessel or table they belong to.

  • Document Management

Mill certificates, weld records and test reports are filed on the job and gathered into one pack for the delivery.

  • Invoice Management

Tax invoices are raised on deposit, delivery and commissioning, and each buyer’s balance is shown oldest first.

Services

How we would put it in.

Setup, data migration, integrations and anything built on top.

Who uses it

One system, each person sees their part.

For owners

See jobs by stage, sheet stock by grade, polish hours against quote and balances owed by each buyer.

For estimators

Price from the grade and finish asked, and compare the quote with what the last similar vessel really took.

For welders and polishers

Open the job card on a shop screen, read the finish for each face, and mark the stage complete.

For stores

Book in sheet and tube with certificates, mark heats, and issue material to a job from the correct rack.

For quality staff

Record seam checks and tests, and assemble the certificate pack before the delivery leaves the gate.

Common questions

Questions owners ask before a demo.

How are grade 304 and grade 316 kept apart?

Sheet, tube and fittings are booked in by grade and heat, and the rack location is recorded. A cut part is marked with its heat, so a mix up shows in the record before it reaches the weld.

What goes into the certificate pack?

The mill certificates, weld records and test results held on the job. Which items a buyer needs is agreed with that buyer’s quality team.

Can finish be recorded for each side of a part?

Yes. The job card names the finish for visible faces and for the inside, so the polisher works from the buyer’s wording.

How is polishing time captured?

Hours are logged on the job at the polish stage. The next quote for a similar vessel is built with those hours in view.

Can parts sent for pickling be tracked?

Yes. Each batch is logged out with the process, the vendor and the date, and booked back after a surface check.

Does it replace a quality manual?

No. Your quality manual stays yours. The software holds the records that the manual says must exist.

Can long tanks built in sections be handled?

Yes. Each section is listed, marked for transport and checked off at site. Snags found at joining are recorded against the section.

Can customers and open orders be loaded?

Yes. We load your customers, running jobs, sheet stock and unpaid invoices. Someone walks the racks with the printed list and corrects any difference before real jobs begin.

How does pricing work?

The figure moves with the users and with the stages and records you want. First you see a working example built from a kitchen table or tank drawing of yours. The written quotation follows.
