Software Solutions for Tap and Faucet Sellers

A tap is sold by type, finish and body, then needs a matching cartridge, spout or wall flange years later. Online sellers must show finishes truthfully, link each model to its spares, and keep warranty records, so that a customer can match a tap to a basin and re-order a part.

At a glance

Keep finishes, cartridges and spare parts straight across every tap you sell.

A tap is a visible fitting and a small mechanism. The finish is chosen at the shop, and the cartridge inside is needed many years later by someone who has lost the box.

Businesses and operating models

Brand range sellers

A seller lists several brands of basin taps, kitchen mixers and wall taps with their finishes.

Replacement and spares sellers

A seller focuses on cartridges, spouts, hoses and handles for fittings already installed.

How an order moves

The workflow for taps.

  1. 1

    Listing by model and finish

Each model has its finishes as options. A finish is a variant of one design, with its own photograph and stock.

  2. 2

    Matching to the bathroom

A buyer filters by type, such as pillar, mixer or wall-mounted, and by finish, to match basins and accessories already chosen.

  3. 3

    Linking spares

Every tap model lists the cartridge, aerator, flange and hose it uses, so a spare can be found from the model name.

  4. 4

    Packing and dispatch

Chrome is wrapped to avoid scratches, and every carton is compared with the order before it is sealed.

  5. 5

    Warranty and after-sales

The purchase date and model go on a warranty record. A claim starts from that record, not from the buyer’s memory.

Where it breaks

The challenges, and what they cost.

Finishes that do not match

Photographs of the same finish differ between listings. Buyers receive a shade they did not expect and send it back.

Spares unreachable

A buyer who knows only the tap’s appearance cannot find the right cartridge. The seller loses a sale and the buyer buys a wrong part elsewhere.

Warranty claims without proof

Invoices are lost, and the model cannot be told from the box. A claim turns into an argument.

Requirements to assess

What is specific to this trade.

These are requirements we would confirm in discovery. They describe what the solution may need to handle. They are not features that already exist.

  • Finishes held as variants of one model, with a stock count for each
  • Spare parts tied to each tap model that uses them
  • A warranty record created at the time of sale, with serial or batch detail where the brand provides it
Recommended modules

What we would build for taps.

Chosen from the commerce capabilities this business needs, not a list of everything.

Model and finish variants

One design carries every finish, with a separate photograph and stock count for each, and a separate price where it differs.

Spares linked to models

Cartridges and parts are listed against every tap that uses them, and searchable by model.

Finish accuracy notes

Colour guidance and a sample note stay on the listing so that a buyer knows the shade may vary by screen.

Warranty record

Stores purchase date, model and serial or batch details and starts a claim from them.

Users and permissions

Who works in the system, and what each can do.

Catalogue editor

Adds models, finishes and spares links and checks photographs.

After-sales desk

Looks up a model, finds the spare and handles warranty claims.

Warehouse packer

Picks the right finish and checks the carton before sealing.

Integrations

What it would connect to.

An integration is confirmed only after its API, access and scope are checked. A connection that updates on a schedule is described as scheduled, not real-time.

  • The showroom’s tag-wise stock and counter bills, read from the showroom product
  • A card and UPI gateway tied to your merchant account
  • A parcel courier for small cartons, added after its tracking feed is tested
Implementation

How the work runs, and what we need from you.

What you provide

  • Your model list with finishes and photographs
  • Which spares fit which models
  • The warranty terms each brand gives you

List models first

We load the models and finishes, then link spares, so the parts lookup works from the first day.

Check photographs on screens

Finish photographs are compared with the real item before launch.

Deliverables

What you receive.

  • Model and finish catalogue
  • Spares lookup by tap model
  • Warranty record and claim flow
  • Packing checklist by finish
Measurement

How progress is judged.

Measures are agreed against your own baseline. We do not promise a result in advance.

  • Spare-part enquiries answered without a phone call
  • Returns raised for finish mismatch
India and international

Selling at home and abroad.

Buyers abroad may use different connection sizes and expect different tap types for the same fixture. The catalogue can hold regional fit notes, and shipping and labelling rules are confirmed per market with your adviser.

Suitable software

Plumbing & Bathroom Products E-commerce & Showroom Software

Existing product, extended

The showroom side exists as GullySystem’s Tile and Sanitaryware Showroom Software, which holds sanitaryware and fittings records, godown stock, quotations and billing. The storefront and trade ordering sit on top of that product, set up separately for each seller.

Variants, linked spares and warranty records are configurations of the category solution and need no separate system.

Common questions

Questions about taps e-commerce.

Can a customer find the right cartridge from the tap’s name?

Yes, once spares are linked to models. The links are loaded from your own range data and are only as complete as that data.

Does the site check a warranty with the brand?

No. It keeps your own record of the sale and the brand’s stated terms. Any link to a brand’s system would be scoped after its access is verified.

Can finishes show as colour swatches?

Yes. A swatch and a photograph can both be shown. Screens vary, so a note warns that the real shade may differ slightly.
