One chain from raw material lot to formula, batch, bag and dealer.
Manage raw material intake, laboratory results, bin stock, formulas, premix, mixer batches, pellet runs, bagging, retained samples, dealer orders and credit in one system. Every bag carries a batch code that leads back to the formula revision and the supplier lots behind it. Operators at the mixer confirm weights on a screen instead of a paper sheet. Nothing is guessed.
- Formulas, premix lists and pack sizes entered as your mill runs them
- Open dealer balances and bin stock migrated
- Medicated sequence and testing rules set up with your quality staff
Animal Feed Manufacturer Management Software serves poultry, cattle, fish and pet feed mills, covering intake, formulas, mixer batches, pellet runs and dealer sales. Each bag carries a batch code linked to its formula revision and the bins and supplier lots it drew from. Operators confirm weights at the mixer, and dealers are billed from dispatch.
What goes wrong before the software.
How the work flows through it, step by step.
- 1
Intake and lab
A truck is weighed in, sampled and tested for moisture, protein and foreign matter. The load is accepted, repriced or rejected before it is tipped into a bin. Nothing enters a bin unchecked.
- 2
Formula and plan
The planner picks formulas by species and stage against dealer orders. The plan shows the ingredient quantities needed and the bins that must supply them. Plans follow orders.
- 3
Mixing
Operators weigh ingredients and premix into the mixer, with each weight confirmed on screen. A variance against the formula must be explained before the batch closes. Variances need a reason.
- 4
Pelleting and cooling
Mash is conditioned, pressed through a die, cooled and screened. The run notes the die, steam and cooler settings, and the quantity of fines returned. Fines go back in.
- 5
Bagging and testing
Bags are filled to weight, sealed and stamped with the batch code. A retained sample is shelved, and finished feed test results are saved to the batch. Each batch keeps one sample.
- 6
Dispatch and credit
Dealer orders are loaded from stacks against the batch codes, invoiced, and set against the dealer’s credit limit. Returned bags are logged with the reason. Credit is checked first.
What is inside.
Every module can be switched on, left out or changed to match how your team already works.
The business modules it is built from.
Each one is also available on its own, or inside a system built for you.
- Goods Receipt (GRN)
Each truck is weighed in against its supplier and declared quantity, then held as a lot until the laboratory result decides its fate.
- Quality Control
Moisture, protein and toxin screening results sit against each lot, and a load outside limit cannot be released into a bin without a decision.
- Stock Tracking and Alerts
Bin levels fall as batches draw from them, and a bin that cannot cover tomorrow’s plan is flagged before the shift starts.
- Bill of Materials
A formula lists each ingredient and premix share for a species and stage, and every revision stays linked to the batches that used it.
- Production Planning
The plan turns dealer orders into mixer batches by formula, and shows which ingredient quantities each bin must supply.
- Batch and Serial Tracking
A farmer complaint is entered against a batch code and followed back through the mixer batch, bins and supplier lots behind it.
- Dealer and Distributor Portal
Dealers place orders by product and pack, see their dispatches and invoices, and the mill loads them against batch codes.
- Credit Limits and Control
Each dealer carries a credit limit, and an order that would take the balance past it is held for approval by the sales head.
How we would put it in.
Setup, data migration, integrations and anything built on top.
One system, each person sees their part.
For mill owners
Read batches made, ingredient cost per tonne of feed, dealer balances and bags in stock without walking the floor.
For the laboratory
Enter intake and finished feed test results, hold a doubtful load, and keep retained sample positions.
For production planners
Choose formulas against dealer orders, see which bins can supply them, and order the day’s mixer and pellet sequence.
For mixer and pellet operators
Confirm each weighed ingredient on a screen, log line settings, and report downtime on the machine.
For dispatch and dealer accounts
Load orders by batch code, issue delivery notes, post receipts and chase dealers whose balance has passed its credit limit.
The numbers the owner asks for.
- Raw material lots accepted, repriced and rejected, by supplier
- Ingredient cost per tonne of finished feed, by formula
- Formula variances flagged at the mixer, with reasons
- Pellet runs with settings and fines returned
- Batches traced to a complaint, with bins and supplier lots
- Bag stock by product, pack size and batch
- Dealer balances past credit limit, oldest first
Who this is built for.
- Poultry feed mills for broilers, layers and breeders
- Cattle and dairy feed plants making mash, pellet or concentrate
- Aqua feed mills that extrude or press floating and sinking pellets
- Pet food and small animal feed makers
- Premix and concentrate blenders that supply other mills
When it is not the right choice.
- A farm that mixes its own feed for its own birds with a small mixer can use a notebook.
- Grain millers who sell flour and not animal feed will find Flour Mill Management Software closer.

Questions owners ask before a demo.
Does it calculate least-cost formulas?
No. Formulas are entered after your nutritionist or software has set them. Revisions are kept, and each batch records the revision it used.
How does a bag lead back to raw material loads?
The batch code on the bag points to the mixer batch. The batch lists the bins used, and each bin lists the supplier lots tipped into it.
Can an operator substitute an ingredient?
The screen allows it only with a reason, and the variance is flagged for the planner. Allowed substitutions per formula can be listed in advance.
How are medicated batches handled?
Batches with a medicated premix are marked and the following batches are shown in order. The flushing steps come from your own procedure and are not decided by the software.
Can we link the weighbridge and the mixer?
A weighbridge ticket import is common. Whether a mixer controller can be linked turns on the brand of controller, which we check in the opening workshop. Manual entry works if no link is wanted.
Does it handle pet food and aqua feed as well?
Yes. Species and pack types are set up per product, and pellet, extruded or crumble lines can each be listed as separate production lines.
What about returned and expired bags?
Returns are logged against the dealer, batch and reason, then credited or written off by an authorised user. Stock for resale is kept apart from damaged goods.
Can existing dealer balances be loaded?
Yes. Your sheets supply the dealer list, scheme rates and unpaid invoices, and the sales office signs off the totals ahead of launch.
Can our records be exported later?
Yes. Batches, lab results, dispatches and dealer ledgers can be exported. The quotation names the export file type, so nothing is left to settle later.
What moves the quote for a feed mill?
Each extra production line, operator and machine connection raises the quote. You see your own formulas on screen before we put a quote in writing.
