Run implant lots from bar certificate to laser mark, sterile pack and loan set.

Bar certificates, heat numbers, lot cards, Swiss-type lathe routings, inspection results, electropolishing vendors, laser marking, ultrasonic cleaning and sterile pouching meet in one record per implant lot. The lot keeps its material, drawing revision and measured values through every cell. Planners, machinists, inspectors, packers and set managers read the same card.

  • Implant codes, sizes and drawing revisions entered as you make them
  • Bar stock, open lots and set lists migrated
  • Changes to inspection plans made by GullySystem staff when asked

This software follows locking plates, cortical screws, tibial nails and femoral stems from titanium or cobalt chrome bar to sterile pouch. A lot card carries the heat number, drawing revision, thread pitch and hole readings, outside finishing and laser mark. Loan trays going to hospital stores are listed, issued and returned by size and lot.

Where it breaks today

What goes wrong before the software.

Bar certificates are filed away from the shop

The mill test certificate sits in the stores file. The cell that saws and turns the bar sees only a diameter on the lot card, never the heat or the ASTM grade.

Dimension results are kept per machine

Thread ring gauges, optical comparators and coordinate measuring machines each keep their own readings. No lot shows pitch diameter, head height and hole spacing side by side.

Drawing revisions change mid-run

A plate hole position is revised from 16 mm to 18 mm pitch. A lot already released keeps running on the old print, and the scrap is found at final inspection.

Outside processors return mixed parts

Electropolishing, passivation and anodising vendors return trays without a count by lot. Screws of two lengths, such as 30 and 34 mm, arrive mixed in one tray.

Laser mark files are managed by hand

Operators type size and lot on the fibre laser marker by hand. One slip, say 4.5 for 3.5, scraps a batch of finished screws.

Hospital sets travel without a record

Trays of plates, screws and drill guides go to an orthopaedic surgeon’s hospital store. Replacements are decided from a phone call, and nobody knows which screw sizes are still missing.

How it runs

How the work flows through it, step by step.

  1. 1

    Order and plan

Orders for full sets or loose sizes are entered. The planner checks bar by alloy grade, such as Ti-6Al-4V ELI or CoCrMo, and by heat before committing a date.

  2. 2

    Lot release

A lot card is released with the drawing revision, the bar issued and the routing through sawing, turning, milling and threading.

  3. 3

    Machining and checks

Operators run first-off on the first piece, record measured values during the run and flag any thread, countersink or hole out of limit.

  4. 4

    Finishing

Parts go to tumble polishing, electropolish, passivation or type II anodising in house or outside, and return by lot and count.

  5. 5

    Mark, clean and pack

Parts are ultrasonically cleaned, laser marked with size and lot, inspected under magnification and pouched in a controlled zone.

  6. 6

    Sterilise and ship

Packs go to ethylene oxide or gamma sterilisation, are released by quality and shipped as stock or as loan sets.

Modules

What is inside.

Every module can be switched on, left out or changed to match how your team already works.

Bar stock and certificates

Receive titanium, cobalt chrome and 316L stainless bar with heat number and mill certificate, and hold it in quarantine until the chemistry and grain size are checked.

Drawings and revisions

Keep drawing revisions per implant code and lock a lot to the revision released with it, so a revised hole pitch cannot reach a running lot.

Lot cards and routings

Release machining lots with operations for turning, milling, drilling and thread whirling, and track quantities through each cell.

First-off and in-process checks

Every critical dimension is stored as measured, together with the gauge used, the inspector who read it and the lot it belongs to.

Polishing and passivation

Record electropolish, passivation and anodising steps, in house or sent out, with quantities returned and rejects counted.

Laser marking control

Generate the mark file from size and lot, and record who marked which parts on which marker.

Cleaning and clean packing

Log ultrasonic cleaning cycles, cleanroom pouching and pack counts for each lot before it goes for sterilisation.

Sterile stock and expiry

Hold sterile packs by lot and expiry date, and release them only after the biological indicator result for the lot is in.

Implant sets and loan trays

List the contents of each plate and screw set, issue trays to hospitals and record which pieces come back used, missing or replaced.

Customer tracing

Search a size and lot to see the hospital, surgeon set and date it was shipped to.

Solutions inside

The business modules it is built from.

Each one is also available on its own, or inside a system built for you.

  • Goods Receipt (GRN)

Bar arrives against an order with heat number and certificate, and is checked and held before it can be issued to a lot.

  • Batch and Serial Tracking

The heat number of the bar issued is stored on the lot, so a plate or screw can be traced back to its melt.

  • Work Order Management

A lot card releases a quantity to each cell with its drawing revision, and operators record parts made and rejected.

  • Quality Control

Measured values for threads, holes and plate thickness are saved with the instrument and inspector, and an out-of-limit part stops the lot.

  • Job Work Management

Parts sent to an outside polisher or passivation vendor are tracked by lot and count, and returned quantities are matched to what was sent.

  • Bill of Materials

Each implant code holds its drawing revision and material grade, so a lot is released on the right print.

  • Barcodes and Labels

Mark and pouch label data is produced from the size and lot record, which cuts typing at the laser marker.

  • Stock Tracking and Alerts

Sterile packs are held by size, lot and expiry, and low screw sizes are flagged against set requirements.

Services

How we would put it in.

Setup, data migration, integrations and anything built on top.

Who uses it

One system, each person sees their part.

For planners

Check bar by heat, release lots and see where each lot sits among machining cells and outside vendors.

For machinists

Work from the lot card, enter first-off results and record parts made and rejected at the lathe or machining centre.

For inspectors

Capture measured values from the comparator, thread gauges and CMM and decide whether a lot passes the next step.

For clean room and packing

Record cleaning, marking and pouching counts, and prepare packs for the sterilisation run.

For sales and set managers

Offer stock by size, issue loan trays to hospital stores and follow their return.

Reports

The numbers the owner asks for.

  • Lots by cell and outside vendor
  • Heat numbers against finished lots
  • Thread and hole readings outside limit
  • Rejects by operation and implant code

Common questions

Questions owners ask before a demo.

Can the heat number follow the part to the customer?

Yes. The bar record is tied to the machining lot, and the lot is tied to every shipment of that size, down to the hospital store.

Can inspection values be stored?

Yes. Measured values for each dimension are saved with the instrument and the inspector, and can be imported from a coordinate measuring machine export.

Does it handle a drawing revision mid-run?

Yes. A revision can be released for new lots, while a lot in progress stays on its original print unless engineering moves it.

How are loan sets followed?

Each tray has a list of contents and an issue date. Returns show missing or replaced screws and drill bits, and balances appear per hospital.

Can several outside processors be used?

Yes. Each send sheet notes the processor, the lot and the count, and the return is checked against it before pouching.

Is laser marking controlled?

Yes. Mark data comes from the lot and size record, so the operator does not type size and lot by hand at the laser marker. The final check remains with your staff.

Does it hold sterilisation results?

Yes. Your sterilisation partner’s result and biological indicator reading are attached to the lot, and release stays blocked until your quality staff sign.

How is it priced?

No price is published. The demonstration on your own plate, screw and nail ranges comes first, and sites, users and the set-up you want then shape the proposal.

Can existing lots be moved in?

Yes. Lots in progress, bar stock and loan set lists are keyed in from your present sheets, so go-live starts with real records.

Does the software meet implant regulations?

No software meets them by itself. It holds the records you define. Your regulatory team writes the rules, such as the ISO 13485 procedures, and we check the layout with them before go-live.
