Enquiry and Site Visit Log for Painting Contractors
Every painting enquiry is logged with its address, the type of work wanted and a date for the site visit. Quotations that nobody has answered stay on a follow-up list until they are won or dropped.
What is recorded for each enquiry
Following up on quotations
A quotation goes out and the client says they will think about it. The enquiry stays open with the date it was sent. The owner can list those that have waited the longest and call or message the client from the same screen.
How it leads to the next step
The visit result becomes the measurement sheet for that address. A client who confirms moves on to planning, crew and stage billing without anyone retyping the address or the scope. A client who declines is marked lost, with a reason if you want one.
What this module does not do
It does not find enquiries for the business. Lead sources such as a signboard, a dealer’s referral or a builder’s contact are yours to build. You decide which statuses a lost enquiry can carry and who is allowed to close one.
Frequently asked questions
Can an enquiry from a builder or contractor be marked differently?
Yes. The source can be set to a builder, a civil contractor or a repeat client, so work from a regular referrer can be read apart from walk-in homeowners.
What happens to an enquiry that never turns into a job?
It stays on record as lost or on hold. A homeowner who asked about a repaint last year can be found again when the next season of work begins.
Can two estimators share the visit list?
Yes. Each visit is assigned to a person, and the owner sees the whole list by day and by estimator.
Does the visit schedule send reminders to the client?
Reminders can go over WhatsApp or SMS the day before. The channels are confirmed with you during scoping.
