Construction · Software for painting contractors

We quote by square foot, the painters are paid by the day, and the paint is always short.

A painting contractor runs on wall measurements, quotes by square foot with putty, primer, and coats, and paint bought from a dealer by shade code. Painter gangs work on daily wages. GullySystem builds painting software that measures and quotes room by room, tracks paint issued per site, and records the shade codes used, so touch-ups and repeat jobs match.

At a glance

Painting jobs look simple and leak money in the details. Two extra coats, a shade change after the first wall, and buckets that never come back from site all add up.

We build job tracking for painting contractors, starting with a free technology audit of your quotes, dealer bills, and wage register.

How the work runs today

A homeowner, society, or office calls for a repaint or a new flat. You visit, measure walls and ceilings, check dampness and cracks, and quote per square foot for scraping, putty, primer, and two or three coats. The customer picks shades from a fan deck, and changes one after seeing it on the wall.

Paint is bought from the dealer on credit, often by shade code with tinting. A gang of painters works for days or weeks, paid daily or by contract, with a supervisor checking. At the end comes the touch-up list, and a year later the customer calls for a patch in the same shade nobody wrote down.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for painting contractors without a proper system.

Paint runs out before the job ends

The estimate did not allow for the extra putty coat, and the gang stops for half a day.

Nobody recorded the shade code

The customer wants a touch-up after a leak repair, and the colour is a guess.

Wages and days do not add up

The supervisor’s attendance and the gang leader’s count differ every week.

Society jobs have many decision-makers

The committee changes the shade, and nobody records who approved it.

What the software does

What we would build for painting contractors.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Room-wise measurement and quote

Wall and ceiling areas measured, with prep work, coats, and product chosen per room.

Shade and product record

Brand, product, and shade code for every wall, saved against the customer.

Paint issue per site

Buckets and tins issued and returned, compared with what the quote expected.

Painter attendance and wages

Daily attendance by site and a weekly wage sheet for each gang.

Touch-ups and shade handover

Touch-ups listed room by room, and a handover sheet with every shade code used, sent to the customer on WhatsApp.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 01

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, Tally reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 02

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 03

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 04

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 05

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions painting contractors ask before they call.

Can dealer bills and invoices go to Tally?

Yes. Dealer purchases and customer invoices can post to Tally, so your accountant has everything for GST.

Will it work for large society and commercial jobs?

Yes. Those need block or floor-wise tracking, committee approvals, and measured bills, which the system can handle.

Do we need custom software, or a simple app?

If you do a few homes a month, a simple quoting app and a notebook may be enough. Custom work pays off with several gangs and sites at once.

Can it work out paint quantity from the measurements?

Yes. Area, coats, and each product’s coverage give an estimated quantity per room. Paint issued is compared with it, so a site using far more stands out.

What happens in the free technology audit?

We look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough to start. You get a report ordered by priority, and there is no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. The audit settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
