Construction · Software for solar plant maintenance companies

Keep every plant’s tickets, cleaning rounds, spares and generation reports in one place.

A solar O&M company looks after rooftop and ground-mounted plants for several owners, each with its own contract, inverter make and monitoring portal. The software built for you holds the plant register, tickets, cleaning and preventive rounds, spares and engineer visits, so the owner’s monthly report comes from one record and not from five portals.

At a glance

Your engineers work across many sites, and every plant reports its generation through a different inverter portal. The contract is signed per plant, so the obligations differ from one site to the next.

No standard package is written for this trade. A custom system is built around your plants, contracts and crews, starting with how a fault travels from the portal alarm to the closed ticket.

How the work runs today

The morning starts on the monitoring portals. Someone scans each plant for zero generation, an inverter that has tripped or a string running low, and raises a call to the site engineer. Faults also arrive as phone calls from plant owners, and those are written on a pad or a WhatsApp group, and the ticket is only opened when someone remembers.

Module cleaning follows a calendar that changes with dust and the season. Preventive rounds cover inverters, cables, earthing and structures, and each round produces a checklist and photos. Spares such as fuses, connectors and surge protection devices sit with the engineers and in a small store.

At month end the owner expects a report: generation, performance ratio, availability, tickets raised and closed, cleaning done. It is assembled by hand.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for solar plant maintenance companies without a proper system.

Faults are tracked on five portals and a phone

A tripped inverter shows on one screen, while the owner’s call sits in a chat. Nobody sees both.

Contract terms live in a folder

Response time, cleaning frequency and generation guarantee differ by plant, and the engineer does not know which applies. Disputes follow.

Preventive rounds go unproven

The checklist is filled on paper and photographed later. The owner asks for proof of the last visit.

Spares disappear into vehicles

A string fuse is issued to an engineer and never booked to a plant. The cost is lost.

Monthly reports take days to assemble

Figures are copied from each portal into a sheet by hand. Errors creep in.

What the software does

What we would build for solar plant maintenance companies.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Plant and contract register

Hold each plant’s capacity, inverter and module makes, owner, site contact and contract terms, so the engineer sees the response time and cleaning schedule that apply before leaving for the site.

Ticket desk for faults and complaints

Log every fault, whether it came from a portal alarm, a phone call or a patrol, against the plant, with the engineer, the cause found and the time it was closed.

Cleaning and preventive rounds

Plan rounds by plant and season, give the crew a checklist on a phone, and keep photos and readings with the visit. Missed rounds show to the supervisor the same day.

Spares and tools issue

Record spares received, issued to an engineer and fitted at a plant, with the part and serial. The register shows what is in each vehicle.

Warranty and replacement claims

Keep module and inverter warranty dates by serial, and follow each claim to the maker with the inspection notes sent.

Owner report and plant dashboard

Compile the monthly report from tickets, rounds and the generation figures you bring in. Reading each inverter make’s portal is confirmed during scoping, since makes differ and some do not open their data.

Crew attendance and visit logs

Record which engineer visited which plant, when, and for what job, so travel and attendance reconcile with the ticket record.

Solutions inside

The business modules solar plant maintenance companies use most.

Each one is also available on its own, or inside a system built for you.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 1

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, Tally reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 2

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 3

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 4

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 5

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions solar plant maintenance companies ask before they call.

Can it pull generation data from our inverters automatically?

Not on its own. Monitoring portals and data loggers differ by make, and some do not open their data. A link is scoped plant by plant, and until then generation figures can be loaded as a file.

Is there a ready product for this?

No. The solar installation product follows rooftop jobs from survey to handover, and it is not an O&M system. Your plant register, tickets and reports are a custom build.

Will it connect to Tally?

There is no live link. Invoices and expense records are kept for your accountant, and an export in the layout your books use is separate, priced work.

Can engineers use it on a site with a weak signal?

Only where the phone has a connection. There is no offline mode today. Tickets and checklists are filled as soon as the engineer is back in coverage.

What happens in the free technology audit?

We look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough to start. You get a report ordered by priority, and there is no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. The audit settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
