Tie each installed system to its serials, contract, approvals and service history.

Solar installers, plant maintenance firms, battery and UPS dealers, electrical contractors and energy management companies leave arrays, battery banks, inverters and switchgear on a customer’s premises. The software here records each installation with its warranty and contract, the material issued to it, and every visit that follows, so the office can answer a call with the record open.

At a glance

These trades sell and look after electrical equipment that stays on a customer’s premises: roof arrays, sealed lead-acid and lithium battery banks, string inverters, cable trays and metered sites. The sale or the installation is one event. What follows runs for years as warranty claims, service contract visits, panel washing rounds, cell replacement and monitoring, and each needs the record of what was fitted where.

Every installation is recorded by serial number, site and contract. A battery is sold on a serial and a date code. A module serial must be tied to one roof and one string, while the plant’s contract sets its response time and cleaning frequency. The record decides the claim.

Material and approvals run alongside the sale. Electrical contractors reconcile armoured cable and lugs against the bill of quantities, and solar installers wait on grid connection and incentive files held at an outside office. Energy management firms join sub-meter readings to audit findings. Loggers and inverters differ by make. Each link is scoped on its own.

The trades

Software for each kind of energy and utilities business.

Solar installers

A rooftop solar installer sells a survey, a quote in kW and a day of roof work, then waits on the utility’s feasibility check, net metering and the subsidy portal. The solar software follows each customer from survey through approvals, installation and commissioning, with module and inverter serials recorded against the roof. Cleaning visits and generation complaints stay in the same file.

Solar plant maintenance companies

A solar plant operations and maintenance (O&M) company looks after rooftop and ground-mounted plants for several owners, each with its own contract, inverter make and monitoring portal. The software built for you holds the plant register, tickets, washing rounds, spares and engineer visits. The owner’s monthly report then comes from one record, not five portals.

Battery dealers

Battery dealers sell automotive, scooter, tubular inverter and solar batteries to walk-in buyers, garages and electricians, and take the old unit back against an exchange rebate. Billing software covers the invoice, while serial numbers, warranty cards, scrap lead-acid cores and garage dues stay on slips. The system built for you puts one record on each battery.

UPS and power backup dealers

UPS, inverter and generator dealers keep customers through battery banks, AMCs and breakdown calls, yet warranty dates, serial numbers and visits sit in registers and chat threads. Batteries wear out and warranties lapse. The system records each installation with its serials and warranty, raises renewals as contracts end, and puts breakdown calls on the right technician’s phone.

Electrical contractors

Electrical contractors price work in points, metres and distribution boards, buy copper at rates that move monthly, and send cable drums to several sites at once. The software follows cable, conduit and switchgear from the store room to site and back, then turns measured work into the monthly running account bill. Test reports sit in a project file.

Energy management companies

An energy management company audits a client’s plant or building, fits sub-meters, tracks kWh against a baseline and reports what changed. The IoT monitoring dashboard carries readings and alerts. Audit findings, recommendations, baselines and client reports are a custom build alongside it, kept on the same site record.

EV charger installers

An EV charger installer surveys the site, designs the supply, fits the units and commissions each one against a set of signed test readings. The software holds the survey, load check, serial numbers and handover pack against every charge point, so a warranty claim or an operator query is answered from one record.

Wind energy developers

A wind energy developer secures land, measures the wind, wins permits and a grid slot, then sells or builds the project. The software holds leases, mast data, consents, studies and contractor packages for each site. Teams see which condition blocks the next gate.

What they share

Where these businesses lose time and money.

Serials are not tied to the site

A module, battery or inverter serial is written on a delivery slip or a warranty card, never against the roof it went onto. A claim starts with a hunt through old job files.

Renewals lapse unseen

Maintenance contract and service dates sit in a diary until the customer calls about a tripped inverter or a dead battery bank. By then the contract has ended.

Material is not reconciled

Cable drums, spares and exchanged batteries leave the store room and are not counted back against a job or plant. Offcuts and scrap lead vanish from the cost.

Files wait on approvals nobody tracks

A grid connection application, an incentive claim or an inspector’s test report sits with an outside office. The customer keeps calling and nobody can say which desk holds it.

Reports are rebuilt by hand

Generation figures, thermography findings and meter readings are copied from portals into sheets each month. Transposed digits creep in.

What the software does

What we build across energy and utilities.

Register each installation with its serials

Record every plant, battery bank or inverter against the customer and site, with serials, installation date and warranty, so a claim starts from the customer’s own record.

Hold the contract beside the plant

Keep each plant’s response time, panel washing frequency, maintenance contract dates and renewal next to its tickets. The engineer then knows which terms apply to the call.

Follow the file through each approval

Track applications, single line diagrams, inspections and incentive status against the job, with a note of what was asked for at the stage where the file stopped.

Issue material against a site or plant

Book cable drums, spares and exchanged batteries to a named site when they leave the store. Returns and offcuts are recorded, and the balance shows by job.

Schedule rounds and keep proof

Plan washing, preventive and service visits by plant, and save the checklist and photographs against each visit, so the owner can see what the crew did on the roof.

Collect readings into one history

Bring meter, inverter and logger data into a single history for each site wherever the device allows. The monthly report is built from that history.

Common questions

Questions energy and utilities businesses ask.

Does one product cover every trade in this group?

No. The solar installation product follows rooftop jobs from site survey to service, and the monitoring dashboard reads meters and drives. Battery dealers, UPS dealers and plant maintenance firms get a system built around their own brands, contract terms and record books, set up once their equipment is known.

Can it read inverters and meters on its own?

Not by default. Vendor portals, Modbus loggers and meter protocols differ by make, so each link is scoped per device once the equipment is known. GullySystem does not supply meters, sensors or gateways.

Does it file grid connection or incentive applications?

No. Portal and utility work stays on those portals, under your own login. The software tracks the file, its attachments and the desk it has reached.

Will it decide whether a warranty claim is valid?

No. The brand decides that. The system keeps the sale date, the serial, the fault photographs and the claim’s status.
