Energy · Software for wind energy developers

Follow every wind site from land option to permit, build and handover.

A wind energy developer secures land, measures the wind, wins permits and a grid slot, then sells or builds the project. The software holds leases, mast data, consents, studies and contractor packages for each site. Teams see which condition blocks the next gate.

At a glance

A wind project takes years and passes through many hands. Landowners sign options, a met mast records wind speed, consultants run noise and bird studies, and a planning authority attaches conditions. Grid timing can move the whole plan. Delay costs money.

The wind energy developer software gives each site one record. It holds the lease terms, measurement campaign, consent conditions, grid offer and contractor packages, so a director sees which condition blocks the next gate. Begin with one site, entering its lease clauses and the consent gates your team already tracks.

How the work runs today

Land agents approach farm owners and agree options with rent, term and turbine exclusion zones. An analyst installs a met mast or lidar, downloads wind speed and direction files, and sends them to a yield consultant. Environmental advisers survey birds, bats, noise and shadow flicker, and each report ends with a list of mitigation items. A grid offer arrives with a date, a cost and a connection point, and the board decides whether the site is still worth pursuing.

After consent, the team splits the build into packages for roads, foundations, turbine supply, cables and substation. Tenders are compared, orders placed, and delivery slots booked for blades and towers before any crane is hired, since a missed slot can idle a crew. Site managers send weekly progress. Lenders and buyers ask for the same documents again and again. The work ends with commissioning, handover and a long operations contract.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for wind energy developers without a proper system.

Lease terms are spread over folders

Option end dates, rent steps, access rights and exclusion zones sit in scanned agreements. An option lapses unnoticed. A turbine position then falls on land that is no longer secured.

Measurement data has no owner

Mast files, sensor calibration records and gap notes arrive from the field in different formats. The yield consultant asks which months are valid, and nobody can answer quickly.

Consent conditions are hard to follow

A planning decision lists conditions on noise, bats, roads and decommissioning, and each has an owner, a deadline and a discharge letter that must be filed before work starts. The list lives in a letter.

Grid and permit dates collide

A connection offer expires on a given date while a permit appeal is still open. Nobody sees both clocks together. The board finds out at its next meeting.

Package tenders are compared by email

Bids for foundations or cable laying arrive in different shapes. The comparison sheet is rebuilt for every package. The reason for an award is kept in a message.

What the software does

What we would build for wind energy developers.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Site and land register

Hold each parcel, landowner, option, lease, rent step, access right and turbine exclusion zone against the project site, with alerts before an option ends. Dates are watched.

Measurement campaigns

Record each mast or lidar, its install date, sensor heights, calibration and data gaps, and the files sent to the yield consultant. Valid months are clear.

Studies and reports

Track noise, shadow flicker, bird, bat and visual studies by consultant, due date and finding, with open mitigation items listed. Gaps show early.

Consents and conditions

Keep every permit with its conditions, owners, evidence and deadlines. Appeals and variations are noted on the same record. Nothing is forgotten.

Grid connection tracker

Hold the offer, connection point, cost, milestone dates and expiry, and show them beside the permit dates for the same site. One page.

Contract packages and tenders

Split the build into packages for roads, foundations, turbines, cables and substation. Compare bids on a common sheet, record the award reason and track the signed contract and every variation.

Stage gates and approvals

Mark the gates from feasibility to financial close, and attach the approvals the board needs. Gates stay honest.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 1

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, accounting reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 2

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 3

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 4

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 5

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions wind energy developers ask before they call.

Is this for one site or a portfolio?

Both. A portfolio view lists every site by stage, next gate and the one condition holding it back. A single developer can start with one project, and add the rest later.

Can it hold wind measurement data itself?

It stores the campaign records and the files, not the raw time series analysis. Yield modelling stays with your consultant. Each finished report is filed under the site and sits beside the met mast whose readings it covers.

Do you cover turbine operation after build?

Not in depth. The record follows the project to handover and the operations contract, but turbine monitoring for operating farms belongs to a separate system.

How are permit rules handled?

Rules differ in every jurisdiction. Condition lists and deadlines are entered by your team, and the structure is reviewed with your own planning adviser.

How is a wind developer’s system quoted?

Sites or portfolio size, leases and consents to load, measurement campaigns, grid trackers and the range of users from land teams to contracts all count. Tender comparison is a separate part. We read your stage gates first, then quote each part alone.

What project files should a developer collect first?

Collect a lease register, a measurement campaign record, a consent with its conditions, a grid connection tracker, a tender package and the stage gate checklist. Then name a development manager and a land lead to look over screens.

Do site files remain ours once we step away from the system?

Yes. Leases, studies, consents and tenders are your data, as is the code. Plain-file export is possible at any point. The builders also support it, and GullySystem hosts it unless the developer wants another home.

What happens after I share my requirements?

An engineer reads what you send and replies within one business day. We then look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough. You get a short written summary ordered by priority, with no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. That first review settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.

What happens after you share your requirements

  1. A senior engineer reads your answers. Nobody phones first.
  2. Within one business day you get a written note: what we understood, what we would start with, and the questions we still have.
  3. If it fits, a proposal follows with the order of work, what we need from you and what you receive at each step.
  4. No call is booked and nothing is paid until you have read the note. Your details stay with us.
