Construction · Software for solar installers

The panels are on the roof, but the net meter and the subsidy are stuck in paperwork.

A rooftop solar installer runs on site surveys, quotes, and installation crews, and jobs stall in net meter and subsidy paperwork. GullySystem builds solar software that follows each customer from survey through BESCOM or DISCOM approvals, installation, and commissioning. Generation complaints and cleaning visits are logged after handover.

At a glance

For a solar installer, the roof work is often the fastest part. Feasibility, net meter approval, subsidy portal uploads, and inspection can take far longer.

We build tracking for that whole path, and the free technology audit starts with how your team follows applications and installs now.

How the work runs today

When an enquiry comes from a homeowner, a factory, or an apartment, someone visits to check roof area, shading, and the sanctioned load. You size the system and quote with panel and inverter brands, structure type, and the subsidy the customer may get. After the advance, you apply for feasibility and net metering with the DISCOM and register on the national rooftop portal where it applies.

Panels and inverters come from distributors, the structure is fabricated, and a crew installs over a day or two. Then there is the inspection, meter change, and subsidy claim, each with its own documents. After handover, customers call when generation drops, and panels need cleaning.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for solar installers without a proper system.

Applications stall without anyone noticing

The net meter file has been waiting at the sub-division office for weeks, and the customer calls you daily.

Subsidy documents go missing

The customer’s bank details or photos were never uploaded, and the subsidy is held back.

Panel serials are not recorded

A panel fails under warranty, and nobody noted which serial went on which roof.

Service calls come on personal phones

Cleaning and generation complaints are handled by whoever picks up, with no record.

What the software does

What we would build for solar installers.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Site survey and sizing

A phone form for roof area, shading, sanctioned load, and photos, feeding the system size and quote.

Approval and subsidy tracker

Each customer’s feasibility, net meter, inspection, and subsidy steps, with documents and dates.

Installation job card

Crew, material issued, panel and inverter serials, and completion photos for each install.

Payment milestones

Advance, material delivery, and commissioning payments tracked per customer.

Service and cleaning schedule

Complaints logged against the installation, with cleaning visits planned under the AMC.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 01

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, Tally reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 02

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 03

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 04

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 05

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions solar installers ask before they call.

Does it integrate with Tally?

Yes. Customer invoices and supplier purchases can flow to Tally with GST, so your books stay in one place.

Can it show inverter generation data?

Often, yes. Many inverter brands offer data access, and we can pull generation into the customer record or flag drops.

Is a CRM like Zoho enough?

For leads alone, it may be. The approval steps, serials, and service history are where installers usually need more, and the audit will show whether that applies to you.

Can customers send their subsidy documents on WhatsApp?

Yes. The customer gets a checklist link and sends photos of the electricity bill, bank passbook, and ID, which land on their file. The office sees what is still missing before the portal upload.

What happens in the free technology audit?

We look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough to start. You get a report ordered by priority, and there is no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. The audit settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
