How the work runs today

A homeowner visits the studio, and your designer measures the kitchen and marks the sink, the gas point and the sockets. The drawing shows base units, wall units, tall units, the loft and the hardware: tandem baskets, soft-close hinges and a corner carousel. The quote carries carcass board, shutter finish, countertop, hob, extractor and sink, priced module-wise or by running feet.

A cutting and edge-banding list goes to the factory, or the order goes to a partner. Countertops are measured again after the carcass is fixed. Installation needs the plumber and the electrician on the right day, and the last payment waits on small snags that are postponed for a fortnight.
