Quote from measured sizes, build only the approved revision, and close each site on a snag list.
Interior firms, kitchen makers, showrooms, glass and window companies, painters, waterproofers and installers sell work that is measured, quoted, fitted and handed over. Measurements become quotes, quotes change on a call, and the factory, the store and the site crew must all work from the latest version. These trades need one file per project, with revisions, materials and approvals on it.
Many trades share this ground. Some design and build interiors, some fabricate windows, glass and kitchens, and some sell tiles, flooring and furniture from a showroom. Others fit or treat a building: air conditioning, home automation, painting and waterproofing.
The work starts with a tape measure. A room, a window opening, a kitchen wall or a terrace is measured, and the quote follows by square foot, running foot, module or opening. Sizes then go to a factory, a glass processor, a dealer’s warehouse or a crew. A transposed figure or an old revision is paid for in remade frames, wasted carcasses or an extra trip.
The job closes slowly. Handover waits on a snag list, a water test on a terrace, a commissioning record or a final measurement, and the last payment waits on handover. Warranties and annual service contracts then run for years, and the proof of what was applied or installed is needed long after the crew has left.

Software for each kind of home improvement and interiors business.
Interior designers
An interior design firm runs on bills of quantities (BOQs), vendor orders for plywood and laminate, and carpenters spread across several sites. Every client change moves the budget, and most changes are agreed on WhatsApp. The interior design management system holds the BOQ, materials, site progress and client payments for each project, so you can see where material and margin went.
Learn moreCommercial interior fit-out contractors
A commercial fit-out contractor builds offices, showrooms and shops against a priced bill of quantities (BOQ) and a tight handover date. Partition, ceiling, electrical, HVAC, flooring and painting gangs are each paid on measurement. The interior design and construction products hold the BOQ, work orders, running bills, materials and site progress for each project, and the snag list and handover file are added as custom work.
Learn moreModular kitchen companies
A modular kitchen is built to millimetres and changed on a phone call. The kitchen software keeps every design revision with its quote, and turns only the approved one into a cutting and hardware list. Site points and the snag list are held through to handover. When the customer picks a different extractor, the change sits on the revision the factory reads.
Learn moreFurniture showrooms
Furniture showrooms sell display pieces, made-to-order sofas and beds, and office furniture for whole floors. Fabric choices, factory orders, delivery and fitting are usually chased by phone. This software holds the quotation, the factory order, the delivery slot and the balance payment on one order, adapted to how your showroom already sells.
Learn moreWindows and doors companies
A project with sixty windows is sixty small orders, each with its own size, opening type, glass and mesh. Software built for you would keep each opening’s first and final size, and release the cutting list from the final measurement only. The factory, the glass processor and the crew would all work from that sheet.
Learn moreFlooring companies
Flooring is priced by the square foot and bought by the carton, and margin leaks in the gap between them. Quotes come from measured rooms with your own wastage rule, stock is counted by dye lot, and cartons are followed to site and back. Years later the showroom still knows which lot a customer’s floor came from.
Learn moreTile and sanitaryware showrooms
Tile and sanitaryware showrooms sell by the box and by the square foot, where the shade lot and the calibre decide as much as the design. Twelve boxes short is a serious problem. The system quotes room by room and holds stock by lot, shade and size across showroom and warehouse. It tracks what is on order from the company and follows every delivery van out to the site.
Learn moreHVAC contractors
An HVAC contractor is paid for the installation and then for years of annual maintenance contract (AMC) visits, gas top-ups and breakdown calls, most of them in summer. The HVAC service management software keeps every installed unit by site, serial and tonnage, separates full-cover contracts from labour-only ones, and logs calls and gas used against the right machine. Contracts are flagged before they end.
Learn moreHome automation companies
A home automation company designs room by room, quotes switches, sensors, controllers and cameras, and depends on wiring being done correctly before the wall is closed. Software built for this by GullySystem would keep each home’s device list, wiring plan and commissioning record, track installation stages, and log annual maintenance contract (AMC) visits and support calls. The next engineer could then find the gateway login.
Learn moreWaterproofing contractors
A waterproofing contractor is judged in the rain, often three wet seasons after the crew has left. The software records each leak inspection with photos, prices the treatment by system and area, and keeps every warranty with its area and end date. Surface preparation, primer, coats and the protection screed are logged as they finish. A complaint next season is then checked against what was applied.
Learn morePainting contractors
A painting contractor measures walls and quotes by the square foot. Paint is bought by shade code on the dealer’s credit, and the foreman’s gang is paid by the day. The painting contractor software measures and quotes room by room, tracks tins issued against each site, and works out wages from attendance. Snags close before the final bill. Recording shade codes per wall is custom work added for you.
Learn moreGlass and façade companies
Toughened glass cannot be cut after it leaves the furnace, so a wrong figure on a cutting list means a fresh order and a long wait. This software tracks every panel from the glass schedule to the processor to its mark on the elevation. Aluminium, ACP and structural silicone are held against the project, and each stage bill is built from measured area.
Learn moreCarpet cleaning companies
Carpet cleaning software holds each customer as one record with every property, room and visit. Quotes are built from area and fibre. Crews see their day on a phone, record what they found and what they used, and the office bills from the job once the customer has signed. Reminders bring customers back when a clean is due again.
Learn moreMasonry contractors
Masonry software for contractors holds each job as one record. Measured quantities of brick, block, stone and mortar, the material delivered to site, the mason crews on each day and the stage bills all sit together. Repair and restoration work, such as repointing and chimney rebuilds, is logged beside new construction.
Learn moreCleaning service companies
Cleaning service software holds each client site as one record with its contract, its checklist and its visit schedule. Supervisors put cleaners on shifts. The cleaners log completed work from a phone, and billing follows the contract. Supplies, complaints and inspection scores are all linked to the same site record, so one search answers a client’s question about a visit.
Learn moreDeck contractors
Deck contractor software holds each deck as one job. The job carries its measured layout, the boards, joists, posts and railings priced for it, the permit and inspection dates, and the payments due at each stage. Change orders are recorded where they are agreed. Maintenance visits and workmanship warranty terms stay on the same record after handover.
Learn moreFencing contractors
Fencing software for contractors holds each fence as one job. The job carries its measured runs, the posts, panels, rails and gates priced for it, the crew days spent installing, and the invoices raised. Boundary notes and utility marks stay with the job. Repair calls after installation are logged against the same fence.
Learn moreGarage door companies
Garage door company software holds each door as an asset with a history. Sales quotes, installation jobs, opener and spring repairs, parts used and technician visits attach to the same record. Dispatch sees which calls are open and who is nearest. Service plans carry their visit dates, and invoices follow the job sheet.
Learn moreGutter contractors
Gutter contractor software holds each property as a record. It carries the measured gutter runs, downpipes and guards priced for the install, the crew days spent, the invoice, and the cleaning or repair visits that follow. Seasonal cleans are booked off the same record. Reminders go out ahead of every visit.
Learn moreHandyman and home repair services
Handyman businesses run on many small jobs: a hung door, a patched wall, a replaced tap washer, a fitted shelf. The handyman software logs each request, books a person for it and records the parts and hours used. That record becomes the invoice, so the customer reads exactly what was done.
Learn moreHardscaping contractors
Hardscaping is paving, retaining walls, patios, steps, driveways and outdoor structures built from stone, block, brick and aggregate. The hardscaping software prices each area from measured quantities, orders materials by the pallet and tonne, and tracks crews and stage bills. The record stays with the job from survey to final payment.
Learn moreHome improvement companies
Home improvement companies sell kitchens, bathrooms, extensions, windows, flooring and whole-house renovations. The home improvement software follows a customer from first enquiry through survey, quote and signed contract to build, snag and final payment. Subcontractors, materials and change orders stay on the same job record.
Learn moreLocksmiths
Locksmith work is urgent, mobile and security-sensitive. The locksmith software takes the call, dispatches the nearest technician and keeps the job record: who asked, what was opened or fitted, which stock was used. Keycode and master key records sit behind restricted access, and invoices follow each job.
Learn morePower and utility contractors
Power and utility contractors build and repair lines, cables, substations and street lighting for network owners and municipalities. The software holds each work order with its permits, crews, materials and as-built notes. Utility owners are billed against completed work, and every closed job leaves a record that can be produced later.
Learn morePressure washing companies
Pressure washing companies clean driveways, decks, facades, car parks and fleets for homeowners and businesses. The software holds each quote by surface area, the route a crew follows, the chemicals used and the photographs taken before and after. Recurring contracts are invoiced on schedule, and the office sees who has paid.
Learn moreRemodelling contractors
Remodelling contractors rebuild kitchens, bathrooms, basements and whole interiors for homeowners who are living through the work. The software holds each project with its estimate, tile and cabinet selections, change orders, trade schedule and payment draws. The client sees what was agreed, and the office sees what has been spent against it.
Learn moreRestoration contractors
Restoration contractors dry out, clean and rebuild properties after water, fire, smoke, mould and storm damage. The software holds each loss as one job: the first call, the moisture readings, the photographs, the scope agreed with the owner or insurer, the equipment on site and the invoices. Everyone from the dispatcher to the invoice clerk works from one file.
Learn moreRoofing contractors
Roofing software holds each roof as one job. The job carries its plan area and pitch, plus the tiles, profiled sheets or membrane ordered for it. Crew days and before and after photographs sit beside them. Stage bills follow the area measured. A leak call after handover is logged against the same roof, so whoever answers the phone sees the warranty position.
Learn moreTree service companies
Tree service software holds each job as a record of the trees involved, the work agreed, the crew and equipment sent and the permit or approval needed. Quotations are priced by tree and by task. Storm calls join the same list as planned work. Disposal, chipping and stump work are billed as part of the job. The client sees one invoice.

Questions home improvement and interiors businesses ask.
Does the software replace our design or cutting tools?
No. You keep drawing in AutoCAD, SketchUp or your own tool, and cutting optimisation stays with your fabrication software. The project record holds the drawings, versions and approvals around them.
Can one product serve a designer, a showroom and a contractor?
Not on its own. The interior design product fits designers, kitchen makers and fit-out firms, and the tile showroom product fits tile and flooring dealers. Painting, waterproofing, HVAC and furniture have products of their own, while windows, glass and home automation are built to order.
Will quotes and bills reach our accounting software?
Not built in. Quotes, stage bills and vendor payments stay in the project record, and a file for your accountant is scoped during implementation and priced separately.
Is software worth it for a few small jobs a month?
Often not. A quoting app and a notebook can serve a painter doing a few homes a month, and a shared folder suits a designer with a couple of projects a year. The need begins with several crews on several sites.
