The rate is agreed once
Each partner carries a rate on his own record. When a booking closes against him, the commission is worked out on it at that rate. Nobody recalculates a percentage on a phone while a partner waits at the counter.
How each amount moves
Due on the booking
The commission sits on the booking that earned it, with the partner’s name and the rate used. It traces back to a unit and a buyer.
Paid, with the date
When you pay, it is marked paid with the date and the mode. A part payment leaves the rest showing as due.
Waiting, if you hold it
Commission stays due until somebody marks it paid. A firm that releases only after the buyer’s next instalment still sees the amount waiting, rather than losing it.

Frequently asked questions
Does it pay the partner?
No. It works out what is due and shows which bookings it came from. The transfer is made by your accounts team, and the entry is marked paid afterwards.
What if we agreed a different rate for one booking?
The figure on that booking is the one you agreed, written on the booking itself. His standard rate stays for every other deal, and the exception is visible rather than sitting there as a number nobody can explain.
Can it handle TDS and GST on the commission?
It records the commission due and paid. Deductions and the partner’s own invoice stay with your accountant, and these entries can go to him as an export agreed at set-up.
