Restaurant Staff Shifts and Attendance Records
Kitchen, service and cleaning staff are rostered by shift, and attendance is marked against that roster. Leave, overtime and advances are held against the same staff record.
The roster for a week
A restaurant runs on shifts. The roster is drawn before the week starts.
Marking attendance
Attendance can be marked on a screen by the manager, or read from a biometric or card device at the staff entry where one is installed. Which device suits your outlet is confirmed during scoping, and a link to it is quoted after the model is known. Late arrival, half day and absent are marked as your establishment counts them. Overtime hours go against the person. The shift they were worked in is saved with them.
What the record carries
What this module stops short of
- It does not run payroll or calculate wages for you
- It does not state what leave or hours the law requires
- It does not connect to a device until the make is confirmed
- Service charge sharing among staff is worked out by you
Frequently asked questions
Does it calculate salaries?
No. Attendance, overtime and advances are recorded, and the wage working stays with you or your accountant.
Will our fingerprint machine connect?
It may. Scoping checks the make and model of the machine, and the link is quoted once that is known.
Can delivery boys be rostered here?
Yes. They are a role like any other, with shifts, offs and attendance of their own.
Who can see a staff member’s advance?
Only the owner and the manager, unless you choose to open it further.
