Warranty Register for Waterproofing Contractors
Every treated area is entered with its system, its handover date and the warranty terms the client was given. Years later, the office can answer a leak call by opening one record.
What the register holds
A warranty only helps if somebody can find it years later. The register is built from the signed handover, so nothing is retyped from a file. It is quick to search.
Reminders before cover ends
A list shows warranties ending in the coming weeks, so the office can message each client to offer an inspection or a renewal before the cover lapses. Some clients will take a fresh coat. Many will not.
Checking a complaint
When a client calls, the office searches by phone number or address. The entry shows the system used, the date and whether the area is still inside the period, so the supervisor leaves for the site already knowing what was applied there.
What the register does not decide
The register stores terms. It does not interpret them. Whether a particular leak is covered, or caused by something the warranty excludes, is a decision for the firm. Legal questions on warranty wording are for the firm’s own advisor.
Frequently asked questions
Can different areas have different warranty periods?
Yes. Each treated area carries the period for its own system, so a bathroom and a terrace can end on different dates.
Can old warranties from before the software be added?
Yes. Warranties still running are brought in from your register during migration, with the details you hold for them.
Does the client get a warranty certificate?
A document can be produced from the entry. Its wording is supplied by the firm and printed as given.
Who sees the register?
Owners, estimators and accounts see all entries. Supervisors see the entries for the sites assigned to them.
