Waterproofing Quotations Priced by Area and System

This document is built from the inspection record. Each area is priced from its measured square feet and the treatment system chosen, using the contractor’s own rate list and warranty terms.

How a quotation is put together

One site often needs several systems. A terrace may take a cementitious coat with mesh, while a bathroom takes a flexible coating and a tank takes a different product altogether. The client reads one line per area.

Area and system

The estimator picks a treatment system for each measured area. The coats and the material for each coat come from the system as it was set up.

Rate and extras

A rate per square foot comes from the rate list. Parapet skirting, crack treatment, old layer removal and protection screed are added as separate lines.

Warranty terms

The warranty period for each system is printed on the quotation. The terms are the ones the owner has set for that system.

Versions and revisions

A revised scope after a second discussion is saved as a new version. The earlier one stays on file.

Sending and following up

A finished quotation goes to the client as a document by email or WhatsApp. Its status is open, accepted or lost, and the open ones appear in a follow-up list that the estimator works through each morning.

Acceptance becomes a job

On acceptance, the quote becomes a job with the same areas, systems and quantities. Material allowed for each area carries over, so consumption can later be compared against it.

What the client sets

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can one quotation cover a terrace and three bathrooms?

Yes. Each area is a separate line with its own system, so the client sees what each part of the work costs.

Are tax rates applied on the quotation?

Tax lines follow the settings made with your accountant. Which rate applies to a given kind of work is for the accountant to advise.

Can a builder’s rate be different from a homeowner’s?

Yes. Separate rate lists can be kept, and the estimator picks one for the client. Who may change a rate is set by the owner.

Does the quotation fix the price of the job?

It records what was agreed for the scope shown. Work added later is entered as an extra and billed as agreed with the client.
