Makeup Kit and Product Stock for Bridal Studios

This module counts the studio’s foundations, lipsticks, lashes, skincare and hair products. It shows what is low before a wedding date and what a particular booking used.

What is counted

A bridal studio keeps products of two kinds. Some are used on clients, such as foundation and setting spray, while others are single-use items such as lashes, cotton and disposable applicators.

Products with a shelf life

Foundations, primers and skincare carry a batch and an expiry date. Anything near expiry is flagged on the stock list, so that it is not opened for a bride by mistake.

Single-use items

Lashes, sponges, cotton pads and spatulas are counted in packs, and a reorder level warns the desk well before a heavy weekend of weddings leaves the shelf empty.

Hair and drape supplies

Hairpins, flowers, safety pins and hairspray are listed with the other consumables. They are used at every wedding. They are also the items that most often run short.

Products bought for a look

A particular lipstick bought for one bride can be tied to her booking, and its cost is then seen against that package when the owner reviews what the booking earned.

Stock used by each booking

After a booking, the artist or assistant marks what was used. This is optional, and some studios only count the larger items. Where it is kept, the owner can see which look consumed which products, and which package needs a closer look at its price.

Reorders

A reorder level is set for each product. When stock falls below it, the item appears on the reorder list, and a purchase can be noted with the supplier’s name and the date it arrived at the studio.

What the studio decides

The studio decides which products to count and how closely. The module does not place orders with suppliers. It does not judge a product’s quality or safety either.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does every booking need its products entered?

No. A studio can count only the main products, or only what it buys for a particular booking. The depth is set with the owner.

Can a label printer be used?

Yes, where the studio wants labels on its products. A barcode or label printer is confirmed during scoping, along with the label layout.

Are retail products sold at the studio?

They can be. A skincare product sold to a client is billed on the invoice and taken out of stock.

Can it track the kit each artist carries?

Yes. A kit can be assigned to an artist and counted when it goes out and comes back. Whether to do this is the owner’s decision.
