Study Worklist and Status
Every study moves through the same stages: booked, scanned, in draft, signed and delivered. The worklist shows where each one stands. Anyone answering a patient’s call can see it without walking to the reporting room.
Views for each team
The same list is filtered for whoever is looking at it.
Urgent and critical studies
A referring doctor may ask for an urgent read. The study is marked at booking and moves up the radiologist’s list. When a radiologist finds something that needs a call, the study is flagged, and the call is logged with the time and the person spoken to.
Machine worklist at the console
Sending the patient list to the CT, MRI or ultrasound console is modality worklist interfacing. It is agreed for each machine model during implementation. Where a machine cannot take it, the technician enters the patient at the console.
Frequently asked questions
Can studies be assigned to a remote radiologist?
Yes. Studies are assigned by modality or by name, and a remote radiologist sees only what is assigned.
Does it show the images?
Not on its own. Images stay in the centre’s PACS or viewer, linked from the study where that system allows.
