GullySystem
Personal Services · Dry Cleaner Management Software

One connected system for counter intake, garment tags, plant stages, delivery rounds and billing.

Manage a dry cleaning business from one system. Counter staff open an order, tag each garment and record its condition. Items are scanned through each stage of the plant, or checked out to a partner plant and back. Delivery rounds, prepaid plans and account billing run from the same order. Finished orders left on the rail prompt a message to the customer.

  • Service list, prices and express rules entered as your shop quotes them
  • Customer list and open orders migrated from your ticket book or software
  • Tag printer and label layout chosen with you before opening day

Dry cleaners with a single counter or a chain of them use this system, provided by GullySystem. Counter staff, plant operators, drivers and the owner work from it. Each garment has a tag, a condition note and a stage, and each order has a bill, a rail position and a collection record.

Where it breaks today

What goes wrong before the software.

Counts and condition rest on a ticket

Items are counted in a hurry, and the condition is written in one line. At pickup, neither side can show the original state.

Garments look alike on the rail

Shirts, suits and dresses hang in bags with a paper slip. Finding one missing piece means opening every bag.

Nobody can see where an order is

Counter staff ask the plant floor whether an order is washed or pressed. The answer is a walk and a guess.

Partner plant work leaves without a list

Bags travel by van with a handwritten sheet. When a bag returns short, that sheet is the only evidence.

Finished orders wait on the rail

Customers forget to collect. The counter has no list showing who has waited longest.

Door payments are matched at night

Drivers take cash and cards on their rounds and hand the money in later. The totals are compared with the tickets one by one.

How it runs

How the work flows through it, step by step.

  1. 1

    Intake

The counter opens an order, counts each item with the customer, picks the service and notes stains and damage.

  2. 2

    Tagging

A tag prints for every piece with the ticket and item number, and the customer receives a receipt for the count.

  3. 3

    Plant stages

Items are scanned through sorting, spotting, cleaning, pressing and packing, so the order shows where it is.

  4. 4

    Outside work

Garments for the partner plant go out as a batch with a list, and are checked in item by item on return.

  5. 5

    Rail and rounds

Finished orders are given a rail position or placed on a delivery round, and the customer is told they are ready.

  6. 6

    Collection and billing

The customer collects or receives the order, pays or has it added to an account, and the ticket closes.

Modules

What is inside.

Every module can be switched on, left out or changed to match how your team already works.

Counter orders and prices

Open orders by service and item, apply express and special-item prices, and print the customer’s receipt.

Garment tags and barcodes

Print a tag for each piece and scan it at every stage, so one item cannot be mistaken for another.

Condition notes and photos

Record stains, tears and missing buttons at intake with a photo, so the state on arrival is on file.

Stage tracking

See every order by stage, with the items stuck in spotting or waiting for pressing at the top.

Partner plant batches

List the garments sent out in each batch with an expected return, and check them in when the bag comes back.

Rail and rack locations

Give each finished order a rail or shelf position, so staff walk to the right place.

Pickup requests and rounds

Take pickup requests by phone or online, plan rounds by area and driver, and record payment at the door.

Billing and corporate accounts

Bill at the counter, or monthly for hotels, clinics and uniform accounts, with prepaid plans drawn down per order.

Order-ready messages

Tell the customer an order is ready, and list those whose finished orders have waited longest.

Loyalty and offers

Link orders to a customer’s phone number, apply points and offers at billing, and list regulars who have stopped coming.

Supplies stock

Watch solvent, detergent, hangers and packing film against a minimum level, and raise a supplier order when one runs low.

Solutions inside

The business modules it is built from.

Each one is also available on its own, or inside a system built for you.

  • Barcodes and Labels

Each piece gets a printed tag, and scanning it at every stage keeps one customer’s shirt from being mistaken for another’s.

  • Work Order Management

Every order sits at a stage on the plant floor, so the counter can see what is in spotting or waiting for the press.

  • Job Work Management

Garments sent to a partner plant leave as a listed batch with a return date and are matched item by item on return.

  • Online Booking Portal

A customer asks for a pickup slot online, and the request lands in the list the dispatcher builds the round from.

  • Invoice Management

Counter bills and monthly statements for hotels and clinics come from the same orders, with prepaid balances applied first.

  • WhatsApp, SMS and Email Notifications

A message reaches the customer when the order lands on the rail, and the same record lists orders left uncollected.

  • Loyalty and Offers

A phone number at the counter brings up points and offers, and applies them to the bill without anyone working them out.

  • Stock Tracking and Alerts

Solvent, detergent, hangers and packing film are counted against reorder levels, so the plant does not stop for want of film.

Services

How we would put it in.

Setup, data migration, integrations and anything built on top.

Who uses it

One system, each person sees their part.

For the owner

See takings by counter and service, orders by stage, garments on the rail and partner batches still out.

At the counter

Open orders, print tags, find any item by ticket or phone number, and take payment at collection.

For plant operators

Scan items in and out of each stage, see special instructions, and flag items that need a second pass.

For drivers

Open the round on a phone, see what to collect or deliver, and record the payment taken at the door.

Reports

The numbers the owner asks for.

  • Orders and takings by day and counter
  • Items by stage and time spent in stage
  • Garments on the rail by age
  • Partner plant batches out and overdue
  • Corporate account statements due
  • Revenue by service type
  • Supplies below reorder level
Good fit

Who this is built for.

  • Single-counter dry cleaners with their own plant
  • Chains with several counters and one central plant
  • Counters that send work to a partner plant
  • Shops running pickup and delivery rounds
  • Cleaners serving hotels, clinics and uniform accounts
Honest answer

When it is not the right choice.

  • A shop with a handful of orders a day can manage with a ticket book and a cash box.
  • A coin-operated self-service launderette has no counter orders to follow and needs a different tool.
Made to fit

Adapted to your business before it goes live.

You are not handed a login and left to it. The product is set up around your records, your people and the tools you already use.

Services and prices

Cleaning, pressing, repair and express services are entered with the prices your shop quotes.

Tags and printer

The tag layout and label printer are chosen with you, so the ticket and item number read clearly on every piece.

Customers and open orders migrated

Customer lists, phone numbers and orders still on the rail arrive from your ticket book or current software.

Plant stages

The stages follow your floor, from a one-room shop to a plant with separate spotting and finishing teams.

Hosting and changes

Every counter draws on one customer list, held on servers GullySystem runs. Its staff change the service list when you ask.

Common questions

Questions owners ask before a demo.

Does it print a tag for every garment?

Yes. A tag prints per piece with the ticket and item number, and the same code is scanned at each stage of the plant.

Can it show the condition of a garment at intake?

Yes. Stains, tears and missing buttons are noted against the item, and a photo can be attached from the counter.

We send some work to another plant. Is that covered?

Yes. A batch is listed with its garments and a return date, and each item is checked in when the bag arrives back.

Can hotels and clinics be billed once a month?

Yes. Account customers have their own rates and receive one statement listing every order in the period.

How does the customer know an order is ready?

The customer is sent a WhatsApp, SMS or email as soon as the order is hung on the rail. Orders that sit for long appear on a list at the counter.

Can drivers take payment on a round?

Yes. The driver notes cash or card on the order at the door, and the counter sees the round’s takings added up at closing.

Can prepaid plans be used?

Yes. A customer’s prepaid balance is drawn down as orders are billed, and the remaining amount shows at the counter.

Can we bring our customer list across?

Yes. Customer names, phone numbers and orders still on the rail are loaded, and the counter supervisor reads through the list before opening.

What does it cost?

Counters, tracked plant stages and any partner or round work all shape the quotation, so no figure is printed here. A quotation follows a walkthrough.

Is it worth it for one small counter?

It may not be at first. A shop with few items a day can work from tickets. The system helps once counts, rounds and partner batches multiply.

Wondering what it costs? Six questions give you a written scope and the buckets any quote should separate.
