Track every garment from counter tag to rail to pickup.

Dry cleaners take in garments over the counter and on pickup rounds, then clean them in house or at a partner plant. The dry cleaning product tags each item at intake, records stains and condition, follows it through every stage and bills at collection. Delivery rounds, pressing-only orders and unclaimed garments are listed for the counter.

At a glance

A dry cleaning counter handles hundreds of small items that look alike. Shirts, suits, dresses and curtains arrive in bags, and each piece must go back to the right customer in the condition it left.

Most counters rely on a paper ticket and a tag. When a customer says an item is missing or damaged, the shop has only the ticket, a crowded rail and its own memory of a busy Saturday.

How the work runs today

Counter staff count items with the customer, note stains and damage, and attach a tag to each piece. Garments go to the plant floor for sorting, spotting, cleaning and pressing, or travel to a partner plant by van. Special items such as wedding gowns, leather and heavy curtains follow their own handling and take longer.

Drivers run pickup and delivery rounds and collect payment at the door. The counter hangs finished orders on rails by ticket number. Owners check takings at closing time. Tags and tickets must agree.

Unclaimed garments can sit on the rail for months.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for dry cleaners without a proper system.

Items are miscounted at intake

Counts are made in a hurry at the counter. A dispute at pickup starts with a number nobody wrote down, and the argument goes round in circles.

Damage claims have no evidence

A button is missing or a stain remains, and the customer says it was fine on arrival. The ticket holds one line of text. That is all.

Partner plant batches are lost track of

Bags leave by van. They return days later. The counter cannot say which garments are still out.

Unclaimed garments pile up

Finished orders hang on the rail with no reminder to the customer, and rail space is lost to orders that nobody collects for weeks on end.

Door collections are matched by hand

Drivers collect cash and hand it in at night. The totals are compared with the tickets one at a time.

What the software does

What we would build for dry cleaners.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Counter intake and garment tags

Open an order and count each item with the customer. Print a tag for every piece, carrying the ticket number and the item number.

Stain and condition notes with photos

Record stains, tears and missing buttons at intake, with a photo, so the condition on arrival is on file.

Stage tracking from sorting to pressing

Scan each item through sorting, spotting, cleaning, pressing and packing, and see at a glance which orders are stuck at a stage while the counter is promising them for tonight.

Partner plant batches

List the garments sent out in each batch with an expected return, and check them in when the bag comes back.

Pickup and delivery rounds

Plan rounds by area and driver. Record payment taken at the door against the order.

Billing, accounts and collection reminders

Bill at the counter or monthly for hotel and uniform accounts, and remind customers whose finished orders wait on the rail.

Common questions

Questions dry cleaners ask before they call.

Does it print tags with barcodes?

Yes. Tags print from the counter with a ticket number and an item number. The label printer is chosen with you during implementation.

Can we run our own plant and a partner plant together?

Yes. A batch sent to a partner is listed with its garments and expected return, and each item is checked in when the bag comes back.

Can hotels and clinics be billed monthly?

Yes. Account customers are billed together for a period, with their own rates and a statement of the orders included.

Is it overkill for a one-counter shop?

It can be, because a shop with few items a day may manage with a ticket book. The product earns its place as item counts, rounds and partner work grow.

What happens in the free technology audit?

We look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough to start. You get a report ordered by priority, and there is no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. The audit settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
