Data from several offices in one view

In many colleges the exam section, accounts and the placement cell each keep separate records. A management question then needs several files to be joined by hand. These reports read from the records the departments already update, so the question can be answered from one place. They also help a college that is collecting data for an NBA or NAAC cycle, although what a body requires is for the college to confirm.

Who acts on them

Each report is read by the office that acts on it. The exam section works from pending marks and result analysis. Accounts works from collection against due, and the placement cell works from offers by branch. Heads of department read attendance shortage for their programmes.

What the figures reflect

A report shows only what the college has entered. Marks must be entered, attendance marked and fees posted for a report to be complete. A report that looks incomplete usually points to a record that has not been updated yet.

Frequently asked questions

Does it file the AICTE return?

No. It prepares the figures in a form that can feed the return. The college files it, and what the return asks for each year is for the college to confirm.

Are the figures live?

Yes. Reports are built from the latest entries, so they change as each entry is made.

Can reports beyond this list be added?

Yes, wherever the records already hold the figures. Extra reports are scoped with the college during implementation.

Can a head of department see only their own programmes?

Yes. Reports follow the role of the person reading them, so a head of department can be limited to their own department.
