Appointments and Queue for Homeopathy Clinics
Phone, WhatsApp and walk-in patients are placed in one queue for each doctor. A new case and a follow-up are marked differently, since a first visit takes much longer than a review.
Booking a visit
Reception enters the booking whichever way the patient asks for it.
The day’s queue
When the patient arrives, reception marks the arrival, and the name moves up the doctor’s list. The doctor opens the file from the queue. After the consultation the patient passes to the dispensary and then to the desk for billing, and the queue shows where each person is.
Missed visits
A patient who does not turn up is marked as such. The booking stays on record. The follow-up diary still carries the review date, so the patient is contacted again.
What the booking screen does not do
It does not decide how long the doctor spends with a patient. The clinic fixes slot lengths for new cases and reviews. Online self-booking from the clinic’s own site or a listing page is extra work, quoted when the clinic asks.
Frequently asked questions
Can a patient be booked by WhatsApp?
Reception can enter a booking taken over WhatsApp. A booking link that patients use on their own is decided before go-live.
Does a new case get a longer slot automatically?
Yes, once the clinic sets the lengths. The desk only chooses new case or follow-up.
Can the doctor see the queue on a phone?
Yes. The waiting list opens on a handset or tablet at the clinic.
Are tokens printed?
A token number is shown on screen and can be printed or read out. Whether to print it is for the clinic.
