Medicine Courier Records for Homeopathy Clinics

Patients in other towns often take treatment by phone and receive medicines by post. Each parcel is recorded against the case with the courier, tracking number, payment and next review.

Details held for each parcel

A parcel is tied to a prescription. It is not a separate list kept in a notebook.

Address and contact

The delivery address and phone number are entered once in the patient file and picked up each time.

Parcel contents

The remedies and quantities sent come from the dispensed prescription, so the parcel matches the case.

Courier and tracking

The courier name, consignment number and date of dispatch are entered, and the status can be updated when the parcel arrives.

Payment before dispatch

Payment received by UPI or transfer is recorded on the bill before the parcel goes out, or marked as collected on delivery.

Remote follow-up

The doctor reviews the patient by phone or video, and the note goes into the case like any visit. The review date counts from the day the parcel is expected to arrive. The patient is reminded then. Dispatch day is not used.

Lost or delayed parcels

A parcel flagged as delayed or returned appears on a short list. The desk can then contact the courier and the patient to find out where it stands. What the clinic does about a loss, such as sending the medicine again, is its own decision.

What is outside this module

The system holds the record of the parcel. It does not book the courier. A link to a courier’s booking service, where one is wanted, is reviewed during scoping, along with the label format that service accepts.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can several patients’ parcels be listed for one day?

Yes. A dispatch list shows all parcels due out today, with address and contents, for packing.

Does it track the courier automatically?

Not by default. The tracking number is stored, and the status is updated by the desk. A courier link is a scoping point.

Can an address label be printed?

Yes. A label with the patient’s name, address and phone number can go to the clinic’s printer.

What about the doctor’s consultation fee for remote cases?

It is billed on the same invoice as the medicine, with its own line, and paid before dispatch.
