Homeopathy Clinic Billing for Consultation and Medicines
One invoice carries the consultation fee, the medicines dispensed and any advance already paid. Cash, UPI and card payments are all recorded, and the owner can read the day’s collection.
What goes on an invoice
A visit usually has a fee and a medicine charge. Some patients pay for the month in advance.
Taking payment
Cash, UPI and card are recorded against the bill, and a bill may be settled in two modes. A receipt prints or goes to the patient by WhatsApp. At closing time, the desk sees the day’s total by payment mode and can compare it with cash in hand.
Tax and the accountant
Whether consultation or medicine charges carry tax, and at what treatment, is for the clinic’s accountant to say. The invoice format is set up as the accountant advises. Collection reports are available for the books, and the clinic can ask for a Tally export to be added.
What billing leaves to the clinic
- Fee amounts for new cases and follow-ups
- Which staff may give a concession
- Whether medicines are charged on every visit
- How advance payments are refunded if a patient stops
- Invoice numbering and header details
Frequently asked questions
Can the doctor’s fee and the medicine charge be separate bills?
Yes, if the clinic prefers. By default they share an invoice.
Can a patient be billed after the visit?
Yes. The bill can be left open and settled later, and the balance shows against the patient.
Is there a daily cash summary?
Yes. It shows collection by payment mode and by doctor for the day.
Does it accept UPI?
It records UPI payments against the bill. A payment link or QR through a gateway is confirmed during scoping.
