Remedy Stock and Dispensary for Homeopathy Clinics
The dispensary list shows each prescription waiting to be prepared and marks it done. Remedies, mother tinctures, globules and bottles are counted as they are used, with a reorder level for each.
What the dispensary counts
A homeopathy dispensary holds many small items. Each one is listed on its own.
Dispensing from a prescription
The dispenser opens the prescription, prepares the medicine and marks it dispensed. Stock falls by the quantity used. A label with the patient’s name, remedy and dose can go to a label printer, and the medicine charge passes to the bill without being typed again.
Reordering
Each item has a level below which it appears on the reorder list. Supplier orders are raised from that list. Goods received are entered on arrival, and stock rises. The clinic decides which supplier is used for which remedy.
What stock records do not cover
Mixing and succussion of a remedy in the clinic is not tracked step by step. The system records the finished bottle that goes to the patient. How a clinic prepares its own dilutions is its own practice.
Frequently asked questions
Can stock be kept by potency?
Yes. Each potency of a remedy is a separate line, so a shortage of one potency is visible.
What about expiry dates?
Batch and expiry are held for items that carry them, and a list shows those nearing expiry.
Can a doctor sell medicines without a prescription entry?
Yes, where the clinic permits. A counter sale is billed and deducted from stock without a case.
Does it handle more than one dispensary?
Yes. Branches can keep their own stock, with transfers between them recorded.
