Kitchen Design Drawings and Revision Records
Each layout drawn for a kitchen is kept as a numbered revision with the change it answers. The approved one is marked, so later work can be charged against it.
What a revision holds
A revision is more than a file. It carries why it exists.
Showing the design and getting approval
Renders can be sent to the client by WhatsApp or mail straight from the revision. When the client accepts a version it is marked approved, and that marking is what the quotation and the factory work order are built on. A change the client asks for after approval opens a fresh revision rather than editing the accepted one. The extra units or upgrades in it can then be priced on their own.
Who uses the drawing record
What the module leaves to you
- It is not drawing software; designs are drawn in your own tool
- It does not judge whether a revision is chargeable
- How many free revisions a client gets is your policy
- Who may mark a revision approved is set at set-up
Frequently asked questions
Can design files from our drawing software be attached?
Yes. Drawing and image files upload to the revision, and the client sees only the views you choose to send.
Is an old revision deleted when a new one is drawn?
No. Every version stays on the project with its date, and the approved one is flagged.
How is extra work after approval handled?
It becomes a new revision. The added units are quoted separately, and your staff decide what is charged.
Can the client approve from a phone?
The client can confirm on a link or by message, and that reply is saved against the revision. A signed printout can be attached as well.
