Packers and Movers Software Views for Owners and Crew

A single shifting job passes through a surveyor, a desk, a coordinator and a crew. Each of them opens the same move file and sees only the part their work needs.

One move, four views

Owners

Read enquiries against bookings won, moves on the calendar, material drawn, claims open and balances still to come. This is the view that answers whether another lorry is worth buying.

Surveyors and the booking desk

Take the enquiry, list the goods at the house, build the quotation from that list and record the advance. The desk works with a caller still on the line.

Move coordinators

Allot crew, lorries and hired vehicles, watch loading and delivery days, and keep transit updates going out. Clashes show before a promise is made.

Crew supervisors and drivers

Open the day’s move on a phone, number cartons against the packing list, tally at delivery and take the signature. Nothing more is shown.

Through a shifting day

A surveyor finishes a house at nine and the quotation leaves the desk by noon. The coordinator puts a supervisor and a tempo against the packing date. On the morning itself the crew enters carton numbers as they seal them, and the office watches the count climb. The lorry leaves and a message goes out. At the far end the tally is called off the same list, and a shortage reaches the coordinator while the crew is still standing there.

At month end

The owner reads bookings won, material consumed, vehicle trips, claims settled and balances outstanding in one place. Accounts works through corporate bills pending approval and household balances left on delivered moves. Supervisors see the moves they handled and the claims raised against them. A branch office reads its own bookings, while the owner reads every office in one view and can set them beside each other.

What the owner decides

  • Which roles exist at each booking office and who holds them
  • What a desk may discount before the owner is asked
  • Whether a supervisor sees rates or only the goods and addresses
  • Who may close a claim or write off a balance
  • Which offices a manager can open
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can a supervisor see what the customer was charged?

That is set by the owner. Many firms show the crew the goods, the addresses and the instructions, and keep rates with the desk.

Do drivers need a computer at the office?

No. A driver marks departure, halts and arrival from a phone, and the office reads each entry as it lands.

Can an owner compare two booking offices?

Yes. Enquiries, bookings, claims and collections are read office by office, or together in one view, which is how an owner judges where another surveyor is needed.

Who changes what a role can open?

Ask us, and our staff make that change. Role access is decided while we set the system up, and revised later as your offices grow.
