Travel and transport · Software for logistics and transport companies

The consignor wants the POD today, and the driver’s copy is still in the lorry.

Logistics and transport companies run on paper lorry receipts, trip sheets, diesel advances and market-hired vehicles, and freight is billed only after the signed POD comes back. GullySystem builds a system for booking, LR, trip expenses, POD capture on the driver’s phone and freight billing, so paperwork stops holding up the bill. It begins with a free technology audit of your current process.

At a glance

In transport, the paperwork is the money. A lost POD means a late bill, and a late bill means a sixty-day wait becomes ninety.

We build software that follows each consignment from booking to POD, and each truck from loading to settlement.

How the work runs today

A consignor calls with a load from Peenya to Chennai. Your booking clerk arranges an own vehicle or a market-hired lorry and writes the lorry receipt with consignor, consignee, weight, freight and invoice details. The driver gets a diesel and toll advance, and the e-way bill is generated against the consignment.

The truck is tracked by calling the driver. After delivery, the signed POD should come back, but often returns days later in the driver’s cabin.

Trip sheets record diesel, tolls, loading charges and driver bata. Market vehicle owners want balance freight after POD, and consignors want the bill with a POD copy attached.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for logistics and transport companies without a proper system.

Billing waits for PODs

Freight bills cannot go out without the signed POD, and the paper comes back late or damaged.

Trip expenses are guesswork

Diesel, tolls and bata are settled from a driver’s memory and a pocket of slips.

Market vehicle payments get messy

Advances and balances to hired lorry owners are tracked in a notebook, and disputes follow.

Customers call for status all day

Every “where is my load” means calling a driver who is on the highway.

What the software does

What we would build for logistics and transport companies.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Booking and lorry receipt

LR generated with consignor, consignee, goods, weight and freight, printed or sent as PDF.

Vehicle and driver assignment

Own and market vehicles, drivers and documents with expiry dates for permit, insurance and fitness.

Trip sheet and settlement

Diesel, toll and bata advances and actuals per trip, settled against the driver’s account.

POD capture on the phone

The driver photographs the signed POD at delivery, and it attaches to the LR immediately.

Freight billing and hire payables

Consignor bills raised with POD copies, and market vehicle balances released after POD.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 01

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, Tally reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 02

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 03

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 04

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 05

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions logistics and transport companies ask before they call.

Will freight bills still go through Tally?

Yes. Freight bills, hire payables and expenses post to Tally, and your accountant keeps the books there.

Can it connect to our GPS trackers and e-way bills?

Usually, yes. Where your GPS provider shares location data, we read it into the trip, and e-way bills can be generated from the LR through an approved provider.

Will drivers actually use a phone app?

They are more likely to if it is one screen: open the trip, take the POD photo, done. For drivers who won’t, the POD photo can be sent to a WhatsApp number and attached from there.

Should we buy a ready transport management package?

If a package matches how you book, bill and pay hired vehicles, buy it. Custom work makes sense when your rate cards, part loads or settlement rules differ.

What happens in the free technology audit?

We look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough to start. You get a report ordered by priority, and there is no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. The audit settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
