Staff Records and Payroll for Schools
The staff module maintains staff files, leave, attendance and monthly salary. It also covers recruitment and onboarding for new teachers, in the same system as the student records.
What the staff module covers
Who uses it
The office and accounts staff keep the files, record leave and prepare the monthly salary. Principals and correspondents read staff attendance and leave when they need it. Teachers do not see each other’s salary. This is set by role. Which screens each person may open is agreed with the institution during implementation.
Connected to the rest of the school
Staff attendance sits beside student attendance and the timetable in the same system. A teacher’s file links to the classes they are assigned. Because one system holds both sides, the office does not retype a name between a payroll sheet and a timetable.
What it leaves to the school
- Salary structures are entered as the school pays them
- Statutory deductions are agreed with the school’s accountant during scoping
- It does not file returns on the school’s behalf
- Leave rules follow the policy the school sets
Frequently asked questions
Does it include a monthly salary register?
Yes. Staff attendance, leave and monthly salary are reported in a register the office can read each month.
Can it handle recruitment of new teachers?
Yes. Recruitment and onboarding for new teachers sit in the same module, and the staff file is created from it.
Are statutory deductions included?
Which deductions apply is a matter for the school’s accountant. They are agreed with the school during scoping and set up before go-live.
Can teachers see each other’s salary?
No. A login opens only the screens its holder’s duties need, so salary screens open only to the logins the school chooses.
