One record for the works, the samples, the sludge and the pump stations.
Manage operator rounds, process readings, samples and laboratory results, discharge limits from your consent or permit, tanker receiving, sludge haulage, chemical dosing, pump stations and maintenance in one system. Each plant keeps a dated record. The operator, the laboratory and the compliance manager all read it, so a consent return is drawn from entries made on the day and not rebuilt from a logbook. Nothing is retyped.
- Process areas, sample points and consent parameters entered as your plant is permitted
- Pump station list, asset register and open work orders loaded
- Edits to checklists and limits handled by GullySystem staff when asked
Works and pump stations keep operator rounds, samples, consent limits, tanker loads, sludge movements and repairs together, configured by GullySystem for your permit. Each plant carries dated readings and laboratory results against its discharge limits. Chemical dosing and pump repairs sit beside the readings, and each return is drawn from what operators logged at the time.
What goes wrong before the software.
How the work flows through it, step by step.
- 1
Round
The operator opens the shift checklist for each process area and records readings, defects and chemical dosing settings from a phone. Rounds are dated.
- 2
Receiving
Septage tankers and any trade effluent loads are logged at the receiving point by source, volume and description before they discharge.
- 3
Sampling
Samplers cut composites and grab samples at the inlet, stages of treatment and the outfall. Each sample gets a number, a point and a time. Nothing is anonymous.
- 4
Laboratory results
Analysts enter results against the numbered sample. The system compares each value to the consent limit for that parameter.
- 5
Sludge and screenings
Cake and screenings are weighed out, with destination and manifest recorded, and the sludge balance is updated for the month.
- 6
Reporting and upkeep
Consent returns are drawn from the record. Defects from rounds and pump alarms become work orders that the technician closes.
What is inside.
Every module can be switched on, left out or changed to match how your team already works.
The business modules it is built from.
Each one is also available on its own, or inside a system built for you.
- Task Management
Each process area has a checklist with an owner and a due shift, so inlet works, clarifiers and blowers are signed off every round.
- Batch and Serial Tracking
A numbered composite or grab sample carries its point, time and sampler, and is followed from the bottle to the result that describes it.
- Quality Control
Each result is entered with its method and checked against the consent limit for that parameter, with values near the limit flagged.
- Workflow and Approvals
An exceedance is held for review, the investigation note is written, and the compliance manager approves the explanation before it is released to the return.
- Work Order Management
Defects from rounds and alarms become work orders for a named technician, with parts and time recorded when the task is closed.
- Asset AMC Tracking
Each station’s pumps, run hours, warranty dates and service calendar are held on one record, so contract visits and preventive tasks fall due on time.
- Stock Tracking and Alerts
Polymer, ferric and disinfectant are received and issued by dosing point, and a low balance raises an alert before a delivery is needed.
- Ticket Management
A numbered ticket opens for each odour or blockage complaint with its location, owner and promised time, and closes with the action taken.
How we would put it in.
Setup, data migration, integrations and anything built on top.
One system, each person sees their part.
For plant managers
Read consents, sludge balance, chemical use and open work orders by plant and by month, with the notes behind each exceedance.
For operators
Fill rounds on a phone, log tankers and cake loads, and see which samples are due. No paper.
For laboratory analysts
Receive numbered samples, enter results with the method and release them against the consent.
For maintenance technicians
See pump station alarms and due tasks, record the repair and close the work order on site.
For compliance managers
Check results against limits, keep the investigation notes and prepare the return your regulator asks for.
The numbers the owner asks for.
- Results against consent limits by parameter and outfall
- Samples due, taken and awaiting results
- Sludge produced, hauled and balanced by month
- Tankers received by source, volume and charge
- Chemical delivered and used against flow treated
- Pump station alarms, run hours and repairs
- Complaints by type, location and action taken
Who this is built for.
- Operators of municipal and private sewage treatment works
- Contractors that run plants under a long-term operation agreement
- Industrial estates and housing developments with their own treatment plant
- Companies that run pump stations and sewer networks
- Septage treatment plants that receive tanker loads
When it is not the right choice.
- A site with one small septic tank serviced yearly needs a calendar, not plant software.
- A works that treats and supplies drinking water, rather than receiving sewage and sludge, will find Water Treatment Company Management Software a better match.

Questions owners ask before a demo.
Does it control the pumps or the dosing?
No. It records what operators and instruments report. Control of pumps and dosing stays with your own control system.
Can several treatment works and pump stations sit in one account?
Yes. Each works and station keeps its own rounds, assets and samples. Managers read them together or one by one.
How are consent limits applied?
You enter the limit, unit and sampling frequency for each parameter at each outfall. A result near or above the limit is flagged on entry.
Can we log tankers and charge for them?
Yes. A tanker load records source, volume and description, and a charge can be set per load or per volume and invoiced from the record.
What about sludge going to different destinations?
Each load carries its destination and manifest. Totals by farm, landfill or incinerator are read monthly, and the balance shows what was produced and what left.
Can operators use it without a network on site?
Not fully offline. Where signal at a basin or a remote station is weak, entries are made once the operator reaches coverage, and the time of the reading is noted.
Is the laboratory result history kept?
Yes. Every result stays with its sample, its method and the analyst, so a trend over years is readable and an audit starts from the record.
Who owns our plant records?
You do. Readings, samples and sludge movements leave in a layout you approve on paper before any build begins, so your regulator and your next contractor can both read them.
How is the price worked out?
Cost follows how many works and pump stations are covered, how many people log in, and which plant control exports are wanted. You first watch a demo built on your own sample points and consent parameters, and the quotation follows once you have seen it handle your readings.
