Artwork and Mock-up Approval for Signage Jobs
Every mock-up version is saved against the job with the client’s comments. The version marked approved is the one the workshop sees on the job card, and earlier versions stay in the history.
Versions and changes
Why approval sits before cutting
Acrylic and ACP cannot be uncut. A wrong spelling or colour fixed on screen costs little, but the same fix on a finished board means a remake. The job card shows only the approved version.
Who works with it
- Designers upload mock-ups and revise them after comments
- Estimators send versions to the client and record the replies
- The workshop opens the approved file from the job card
- Owners see which jobs are waiting on a client’s approval
What approval does not cover
The system keeps the record of what was approved. It does not design the artwork or check brand rights. Who may approve for a client company, such as a store manager or head office, is confirmed with the client.
Frequently asked questions
Can a reply on WhatsApp count as approval?
Yes, if you accept it. The message is attached to the version, and what your business treats as valid approval is your own decision.
What if the client changes their mind after cutting begins?
The change is recorded as a new version and the job card is flagged. Whether the extra work is charged is decided with the client and noted on the invoice.
Are the design files stored in the system?
Yes, as attachments on each version. The size of files and how long they are kept are reviewed during set-up.
