Quotations and Rate Cards for Signage Companies
Quotations are built from the measured size and your rate card. Material, lighting, installation and transport appear as separate lines, with the artwork mock-up attached for the client.
How a quotation is priced
The estimator picks the board type, and the measured size comes across from the survey.
Follow-up on open quotations
Sent quotations wait for a reply. The list shows how long each has waited, so the estimator knows which client to call next. A confirmed quotation turns into the job card without retyping.
What your team sets up
- Rates by material and finish, entered as you price boards today
- A minimum chargeable size for small boards, if you use one
- Quotation layout, terms and the validity wording
- Who may change a rate or give a discount
What the rate card does not do
The card holds the rates you enter. It does not look up market prices for sheets or LED modules. A rate change is made by the owner. How GST is shown on a quotation is for the firm’s own tax adviser to say.
Frequently asked questions
Can one quotation cover several boards?
Yes. A shopfront with a fascia, a side board and window vinyl is one quotation with a line for each board.
How does a quotation reach the workshop?
When the client confirms, the quotation is converted into a job card. Sizes, materials and the approved artwork carry across.
Is the rate card the same for every client?
No. A chain with an agreed rate list can have its own rates attached, and its quotations then follow that list.
